Well, negativity started creeping in like a rat. I'm just saying Battier is in every way and manner the best man for this team. Sorry you don't like me supporting having Shane over Rudy in this team.
Well, 2 weeks ago after Rudy dropped a bunch of points on a game lots of people were saying we should have kept the Gay pick all over again. If that thread can be started why not this one? Yes, its 2 years later, but the issue popped up recently. If someone can start a thread saying we should have kept Gay why not start one that says Shane was (once again) the right choice? I thought this was a discussion board.
LOL, that didn't take long indeed! I'll be careful to voice my support our Rockets players next time.
it's not about that. you tried to create some witty thread with barely a sentence in it for a topic that's been beaten to death.
Substance. You need to have substance, something we can sink our teeth into when you start a new thread. Why do you like Battier over Gay? Stats, intangibles, off the court deeds or all of the above?
Well, I was trying to show support for Shane Battier. Yes, it's been beaten to death but the issue came up again recently. I'm sorry my not-so-clever-afterall title offended, but my intentions were good and supportive of the Rockets team and players. If that's worthy of a demotion then demote me, but I've never seen someone get demoted over supporting a Rockets player before, specially when the post had not insults and rude language. If the title offends, then I apologize. But a warning would have been just fine and one I would have heeded.
Don't worry, you'll get your member status back eventually. It's a good subject to talk about, but you could have bumped one of the existing threads.
Ok, you make a good point. My post did lack substance, it was just a senseless show of support. Obviously I love Shane because he is the glue for this team, he does everything we need to be a true title contender. I think that as talented and deep this team is, if you remove Shane and put Gay out there we might not be in this close West race this year. The man is a machine and does just about everything. Gay may turn out to be a great player (maybe), but Shane is amazing out there. His hustle, smarts, defense and plenty of intangibles are incredible to behold.
It's all good. I think it was a good move to bring Shane in also. Gay is going to be a pretty good to good player on bad teams but I just don't see him every being a good or great player on a contender. I don't think this team needed another inconsistent scorer who brings little else to the table and certainly plays no defense.
My point exactly. I think Rudy will become a poor man's T-Mac in the long run, but we already have T-Mac who is much better in every way, we don't need a wannabe. Not if we could get a man like Shane instead.
