55-27. Don't expect a 60-win season. Although i do wish we can hit that mark, it is unlikely. There are so many questions that have yet to be answered. Nonetheless, if yao and t-mac stays healthy, the rockets will be atleast in the conference semi-finals.

How do you justify such a prediction? Mine is 58-24.

    50-32.

Ask me again after the end of training camp and all of the trades have been made.

I've been thinking about this thread since the 22 game winning streak, and surpassing the 50 win mark is a great and pleasent surprise for me, and with Yao out too! I truly did not believe that Adelman would be able to bring the Rockets up and over 50 wins because this was his first year here, but I was wrong.

People please consider that the WC is about 3 times more competitive then the 07 season. So a 53ish win season (which we are on pace for) should satisfy everyone. That is probably only 3 games off of 1st place, too.

And about the playoffs...I really think we can beat any team except SAS, PHX, and a healthy LAL. They're too big.

After watching that playoff clip of T-mac owning the mavs, I'm sure he'd do the same if we get them this year. And he'd play just as well against the Jazz.

IF they wont he Kings game and showed some energy, I'd agree. But man...55 for an injury season with a new coaching staff...and basically a new roster with new players stepping up...you gotta be happy about that.

Anyone know if we steal 3rd from PHX if we win tomorrow @ sonics and Lakers lose to Mavs? We'd both be 51-25

In mid-December, I had them down for low 40's and was baffled as to when Adelman was going to smarten up about Hayes' drain on the offensive game.

At 50, they've obviously surpassed my projected 48.

I was cautiously optimistic about Adelman's offense once they got to a balance of O and D. Surely didn't see Scola's (and partially Landry's) level of impact.

Considering everything that has happened this season, the 53 wins I predicted seems low. Still got pretty close.

If it wasn't for our 22 game streak, I don't think we would be in the playoffs. I think we would be the 9th seed.

So yay for the streak. :D

Although the Rockets had a great streak, #22 but they don't have Yao. No inside offense presence.

My prediction: Lakers VS Celtics in the finals.

    Rockets won't make it.

to begin the season i predicted high 50's.

i think we are looking at 54, so i had a pretty decent guess. with yao, i'm sure the team would've got to the high 50's.

never the less, i see another first round exit.
