Shane Battier -- DPOY Rafer Alston -- MIP Rick Adelman -- COY Luis Scola -- ROY Tracy McGrady -- MVP No Darryl Morey for Executive of the year though!?! Click here for the full blown pdf EDIT: Here is a smaller version of what you would find if you click on the link. Any comments on the player notes? It looks like they really couldn't defend T-Mac for MVP very well and they clearly want Shane to win because of the amount of information displayed. Maybe they feel like they have to defend Shane because typical DPOY have stats that quantify their defense.
if we don't get a high seed, none if this will happen. which sucks, cause i think rick would have won it, with the 22 winning streak any other year, but this year. damn this west.
Scola will probably be beaten by Durant if not Durant then Horford. Anyone whos been watching Horford will admit his been bringing it all season for a playoff team
Scola and Battier has the best chances. I doubt anyone is going to take COY away from Doc River. MVP is locked for Mr. 81 or King James. GO BATTIER!!
Actually I think Doc will get beat out by Byron Scott. NO made a good turn around this year (of course last year they couldn't stay healthy long enough to make a good run) and could end up at the top of a really competitive west.
unfortunately, i doubt they give any award to the rockets thanks to a low seed. if they finish in the top 3 then i can see an award or two floating the rockets way.
Scola a shoe in. McGrady no way Adelman probably not...great coach...not good enough record Morey...maybe. See how it pans out
Shane is also a divisional winner for the NBA Sportsmanship Award. http://www.nba.com/news/sportsmanship_080403.html
his also the only true forward on his team doing ANYTHING at all. When your next best big man is Zaza and the rest of your team is all a bunch of swingmen you'd expect to be under 50. Look put it this way, Horford has been bringing it all season. I honestly can't say the same for Scola, lets not mention Scola has Landry sharing his minutes too.
