Clutch should have the main threads attached to those April fools so we can all look back at who was gotcha -ed.

If some contributers could provide links to the threads discussing these 'news' it would be madly appreciated. I remember reading the Bowen thread and I was rolling. :)

Ryan Bowen was the best, cause it's RyBo.

    Plus, it was actually believable.

    very nice attention to detail.

No competition, that Spurs one rocked. The explanation about moving due to Elie was awesome. Plus, it was early in the site's history so we weren't expecting it.

Yup, only one that got me as well. Believable too, with the way SI treated Hakeem after the first championship...

I liked them all. But I gotta say the Hakeem one got me good. I practically quit my job and bought tickets back to Houston so I can watch them live for the rest of the season and next season. Thanks, Clutch.

I wasn't here for the Spurs one, but the Ryan Bowen ruined my day with anger. Serious anger. It made me a JVG hater for a day.

The Ryan Bowen one was the best.

On one end of the spectrum, you got believable (Yao breaks collar bone)... but more cruel than funny.

Then on the other end of the spectrum, you got funny (Spurs site)... but not particularly believable.

Then you have Ryan Bowen... frickin' hilarious, but juuuuust believable enough. I remember a lot of people really believing that one.

    "He's a career 1.4/1.4 guy..." :D

Oh, and part of the reason I choose that one is that is was the last one I think I got fooled by.

Man the '99 one got me bad. Changing the whole site into a Spurs one. Brings me back, I was 13 years old at the time. I even e-mailed Clutch crying to him. I was so upset that I even talked to my parents about it haha, wow.
