Well, because of a couple of factors, including the success of the FBB sim and the need for an NCAA sim, when the NBA live sim resumes it will progress like moe's madden sim. About three sims per week, and only one to two with stats. This will allow for more frequent simming, and also, assuming we go through with that, I am going to start the NCAA sim. If Drew still wants to do it, he can, but it's been about a month since we've heard from him so I'm going to at least get started simming, and Drew can start doing it on his PS2 instead if he wants to. It would take too long to post 53 man rosters for 12 teams, and giving out ratings can be problematic, so we're going to just reorder rosters to go by the highest ranked players, and go from there. I'll give you stats for three players per session-- and if you want to make roster changes, or make sure I have a certain player playing, post it in the standings thread. If you don't know your team well enough to know the alternative to a certain player, ask and I can tell you the alternatives and their strengths and weaknesses. I will sim one week at a time, post NCAA and conference players of the week, game results, etc. List of teams is the same as what you guys requested a while ago, except I'm changing to LSU. Cat-- LSU Sammy-- Kansas State Drew-- Texas Nomar-- Florida Manny-- Miami BGM-- Michigan Puedlfor-- Ohio St. Haven-- Boston College Duke/franchise-- Oklahoma DVauthrin-- Washington Moe-- Notre Dame SF3-- Virginia Tech Week 1 coming, very few teams play, but if you do you can get stats. Also, once most teams have played a game, I will start posting standings, top 25, and later on BCS with the scores.
cat: how will we handle recruiting? That's the most fun part, but makign it would would require unholy amounts of work on your part...
haven: what I was thinking of doing was letting each team designate their own points to the top recruits, and letting the computer do the rest. I believe this is possible, but if for some reason it's not, I will give each team an option. I can do all the recruiting manually, with input from them on individual positions, or to let the computer automatically do it. I'm guessing the league would be about split on that decision, and I could do one or two per day, assuming each one takes about 30-40 minutes. (it takes me about that long to recruit) Sammy: can you handle being K-State for one season? I've already got this season started, and I can't change positions for coaches until after the season... I can get you to recruit for them, though. The last list of teams that I saw (edited by Drew on January 21) had you as K-State, so that's how I got you there. VJ: I would, but the maximum number of teams in the league is 12. If someone drops out, you will be the first one in...
If vj doesn't mind Michigan, he can take them from me. I'm kind of busy with the other leagues already...
