I think the 6th seed, and basically what that means is we play 3rd seed so we basically lose in the playoffs. I don't think SA or NOH will stop winning and they will both get 1 and 2. That means we either play the Suns or Lakers, which is an immediate loss, UNLESS we get lucky somehow. What if we were to tank it to get the 8th seed or 7th to play the Hornets, since that is our only shot? I don't think we can get home court from this point forward with 25 losses...

We still have a pretty soft schedule coming up so we can still get 4/5th seed and play Utah

i do like tanking, but then, that whole pride stuff, makes it hard for me to accept tanking. but then, there was also the denver game (2 years ago) that costed us brandon roy.

i'd like us to be 1st, 2nd, or 5th. possibly 6th, if we dont' play suns. lakers play terrible defense, so i don't mind them.

Who thinks we can win against a big-man team? (e.g. Lakers, Jazz, Suns, Spurs)

That is our only shot right now unless other teams start losing which just doesn't look possible right now. The Lakers have an easy schedule, same with Hornets, Spurs have a so-so but they are playing well so they may not lose, the Jazz will most likely remain 4th, and the Suns have a pretty favorable schedule to. I think we will be screwed come playoff time unless we get a top 4 seed.

tonight was a must win since the suns lost, however we still have a chance to get the 5th seed. if we lose any of the next four games, i say there's no chance. CMON ROCKETS LETS DO THIS!!!

A matchup against the Lakers/Hornets/Jazz, and the Rockets have a chance.

A matchup against the Spurs or the Suns, and Rockets are done in 5 games. At most.

You do realize that the Lakers have 2 7footers coming back within a week right?

i don't think it's worth tanking this year.

    sometimes it is. consider:

the rockets are on pace to get the 22nd pick. by letting 3 teams pass them (mavs, nugz, warriors) they wouldn't just jump 3 spots... they would jump 8 spots up to the 14th pick.

now, i happen to feel that the rockets can hold their own against any team in the league, and have a shot to win any series s it's not worth tanking this season. what if they play to their potential and win a series?

now, if i were dallas, denver, or oakland i would tank without a doubt.

    I'm going to say 5th, with a re-match of last year's series.

    We're coming for you, mormons...

Man, the last 3 games are TOUGH.

We have to win the next 4 in a row.

    Portland
    Seattle
    Clippers
    Seattle

    then...

    Phoenix
    Denver
    Utah

Denver and Utah are back to back, and that's off one night's rest against the suns.

As long as we avoid the Spurs, there is nothing to fear.

Are we really that depressed after a couple of lazy losses? This game is capable of a lot so we should just...accept their slack?

Anyhoo, they'll show up come playoffs. I'm not sure about Rafer but definitely everyone else.
