One of these days, people will come out of fandom and stop overvaluing our talent. Scola, Tracy, and Yao are the only starting caliber players. Rafer, Battier, jackson are 20min guys. Novak and Head are situational players. Hayes is d-league material and the jury is out on brooks and landry

For all defensive players trying to prevent the pass, the instinct is to put everything out deflect the pass. So on that pass, you instincts will cause you to stick out your leg.

Basically Ron Artest and Martin are a bad matchup for us when healthy. Martin never misses FT's and hits jumpers which he let teams take, and we have no one who can match up with Artest on Off or Def

This is where we miss having an all-star on the team, becasue if we had one Tracy would have gotten that call at the end.

This is the team that's supposed to get out of the first round of the most brutal Western playoffs ever? You gonna count on Rafer and T-Mac on clutch situations? One's gonna brick the shot for sure, the other's gonna be too afraid to brick it so he'll pass it off to people like Hayes and Head ...

We drank a lot of kool-aid during the 22 streak, but now it's back to reality.

Landry had zero points tonight. This guy has lost his hops since the injury and he has not been the same since.

    Rafer...the mental midget strikes again.

Late in the game, they get the ball to Martin and Artest and Rafer passes the ball to CHUCK FRICKEN BRICK HAYES on the post....WTF?

Then, he goes 1 on 4....

This team will not be a competitor EVER as long as we rely on Rafer to make crucial decisions late....the guy just doesn't have it between the ears.....

Rafer needs to be a Point Guard and get us a quality shot within the offense....

With Landry in the game, why wouldn't he get the touches Hayes had? It just doesn't make any sense why the worst player offensively on the floor for us would have the ball with a minute left.
It's a shame because during the streak we really played relatively smart basketball. Now we have totally lost our minds (Battier kicking the ball with 6 seconds left on the shot clock for the Kings, not calling a timeout on the last play....)
    Yuck.

The way these Rockets played and executed at the end is not like the same team that won 22 games in a row. I can't understand how this team can let down; it's not like we've clinched the playoff spot yet. We could even miss the playoffs if we aren't careful; we probably won't considering our schedule, but you never know. The way they played tonight definitely isn't a quality playoff team performance. They just didn't take care of business which is really most upsetting.

Adelman's failure to give Hakeem any minutes was the difference. What a stupid mistake! What was he thinking?

Did anybody else hear the heckler? I thought he said something similar to Mac late in the fourth quarter.

There is a reason why Hayes had all those shots. Teams want him to shoot.

There is also a reason why Landry had 0 points tonight. Teams are now scouting him and shutting down the passing lanes to him.

Both are one dimensional role players and these kinds are the easiest to stop when teams get scouted.

This will be the story in playoffs.
