People will always talk and write like they're really smart and like they really know basketball. It seems like we're all surrunded by Barkley's, everyone's smart and fat. As far for the McGrady has never advanced bla bla... Well, Mavericks WERE better than Houston Rockets in 05 and Jazz was better last year, admit it, one player can't really make a big difference. Player that makes his team better is greater than player that only cares about invidua and TMac MAKES this team better no matter what you say.
I agree, he does shoulder some of the blame. But when you have people, like David Wesley, Gordon Gircek, Drew Gooden, Pat Garrity, Darrell Armstrong, Mike James, Jon Barry, Bobby Sura, Juwan Howard, and Tyron Lue....do these scream like names are going to get teams deep into the playoffs. Especially when the other teams starters look like this: Richard Hamilton, Chauncey Billups, Ben Wallace, Mehmet Okur, Carlos Boozer, Derek Fisher, Jason Terry, Devin Harris, Josh Howard, Dirk Nowitzki, Andrei Kirlenko, Clifford Robinson, Jamal Mashburn, and Baron Davis In T-Mac's career, pretty much at every position on the floor is in the advantage of the other team....except for center and that is with the Rockets. Even though, he had the advantage in all 3 series, you have to remember that these are 7 game series....it's really hard for one player to win a series by himself in very long series....He can win 2 or 3 games alone, but trying to whole series is near impossible. Just look at Kobe, he can average 35 - 40 ppg, but will be his fault if his team couldn't beat the Suns or Spurs.
Disagree. When you have the likes of Marbury , Jermaine O'neal, Shaq, Webber, Mike Finley making more then him. You have guys like Rashard Lewis who isn't even a top 30 player in the league (and who Hedo is better then) making 15 million, and Steve Francis taking home 16 million this year. NONE of these guys offer anything close to what Tmac gives you. Would anybody trade Tmac for Iverson (20.1 mill) who supposedly has the biggest "heart" in the league? You would be an idiot if you did because that would set us back about 10 wins a season and take us 2 steps back from being a championship team.
Blah people that always bring up how much Tmac makes remind me of Kmart shoppers. Always looking for a bargain. Are there a lot of overpaid athleletes worst then tmac? Hell yes. Are there players out there that give you the best bang for the buck? Sure. Are most athleletes overpaid? Hell yes. It's all sports "entertainment". You dont have to pay for their salaries if you dont want to. Just dont go to the games. Heck I dont even know why you guys are even watching the games since Tmac is the main guy when Yao went down. Bargains are nice man but we cant always get stuff on sale. As long as its not way overpriced like Kawame Brown, Steve Francis, Stephon Maubury, Mike Finley, etc etc
Amen brother. Like I always say, whether or not T-Mac gets past the 1st round, he has the same number of rings as Barkely and Malone, who made the Finals. I guess we can't call them "winners" as well since they "choked" not in the 1st round, but in the Finals no less...... Get over it, T-mac is our marquee player, he makes our team better. Worth everything he's paid.
