this is my band's page, we're thinking of getting serious about it, and i wanna know how our site looks i.e. pictures dont work, too childish, not professional enough, smells funny, so on and so on. thanks a lot, i really do appreciate it. http://www.dreamwater.net/strangeray02/
oh and also, where are some places to get free gigs at. All we've ever played is a ****e club in Pasadena called "vertigo nites."
Site is pretty good. However, a couple of pictures on the front page have that very annoying "red box marked x". Also, you can only read the bios of Chris and Peter but not for Bryan, Joel, and Robert. However, other than that, it looked good to me.
The following are linked to files on your C: Drive and not the website: -The first two band logos on the page called "The Band" -The first two images on Peter's Bio -The right side image on the News page and as manny said you can only read two of the bios put up some clips on the site so we could here your band peace
i dont know what's your target audience nor how serious you want the webpage to be, but it would look more professional if you didnt have the webpage on a geocities ad driven type of a website. you can register domian names really cheap at registrars like http://stargateinc.com/ for 9 dollars a year. there are cheaper ones out there, just do a search. Then you can host your domain name fairly cheap as well. example: http://www.sevaa.com/ again there are cheaper ones to be had, just search around. one of the cool perks about having your own domain is having blah@myowndomainname.com email addresses. as for the layout, very nice simple, straight to the point, except for the scrolling text across the screen begging the viewer to sign the guesbook.
I'm with movement on this one. You should register your own domain name and get hosting. You can get hosting for very little per year and it is really worth it. It is the best way to look professional.
