Does anybody have an idea where Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Darius Miles, etc. would have gone to school if they didn't jump to the NBA?

I know Rashard Lewis was thinking about U of H, and Kwame Brown was going to sign with Florida.

Did any of the other guys have a college picked out?

DeShawn Stevenson was going to go to Kansas. Imagine if they had him now...

    Stevenson, Gooden, Hinrich, Collison, Boschee....

Stevenson had signed a letter of intend with Kansas, but he failed his first couple trys to qualify and then scored a high score on his SAT that the NCAA would not allow is why he went to the NBA. Miles could not get pass the NCAA to play division I ball, grades. Bryant and Garnett did not every think of going to college, I do not believe.

Miles was going to go to Florida, from what I remember.

Uggh, just the thought of Kobe at Duke is enough to make me sick. The two were made for each other.

Yeah, but in that annoying Duke "media darling" way. The idea of Kobe "I speak Italian" Bryant, Shane "I majored in Religion" Battier, and Jason "I'm graduating in 3 years" Williams all sharing the same court is just too much. Kobe is the perfect all-American, "classy" sportsman that Duke loves.

Don-I knew what you were trying to say. I was just trying to be a smart ass, since I'm kind of a Kobe fan and a Duke fan. But, you're right in that they do fit each other well.

I thought I remember hearing that KG was having trouble passing his entrance exams, so because of that he decided to go pro. Can anyone confirm this?

I guess it's the whole Carter/Jordan thing, but I always pictured Kobe to be a Tarheel kinda guy...

KG failed the entrance exam 4 times out of 5 that you are allowed to take and he took the last one but the results were to come back after he had to make a decision of whether to attend college or go to the NBA. He decided to go to the NBA as we all know and it turned out that he passed the test the fifth and final time.
