The most priceless article on auction, a jersey with all the Rockets' signature commemorating the 2nd longest winning streak in NBA history.
the biggest silent auction item was a framed hannah montana autographed electric guitar. i think it went for over $11,000. i know there was a live auction for a trip to an away game next season. you fly on the plane with the team, stay in the same hotel, eat pregame meal with media, and nice tickets. dont remember how much it went for, but it was pretty high as well.
http://sports.sina.com.cn/k/2008-03-28/11553561608.shtml According to the above article, Rafer Alston and Aaron Brooks were both interested in Ali's boxing glove. They bid against each and other, and finally Aaron Brooks won with the highest bid. But there was no mention of for how much Aaron Brooks got it.
more notes: bill worrell was the host for the night. former president bush got up and spoke for a bit les alexander (who donated $500,000 at the game wed night) donated either $250,000 or $750,000 more to dk's foundation dk got up and thanked everyone, then ended up dancing on stage later in the evening. alonzo morning was there
That streak shirt is now available for sales online on Rockets.com, and will go on sales soon in Toyota Centre. http://sports.sina.com.cn/k/2008-03-28/11013561420.shtml There will be 2 different styles, and each priced at US$ 23.09 now on the Internet.....but the T-shirt is without the players' signature.
Rick or President!!!! Think about it President Adelman and the First Lady! National Media would be humping us all over if that's ever a situation
Am I the only one that liked what Aaron Brooks put together in terms of wardrobe? I have never seen a color combo like that in my life. But it works.
Let me get this straight. You guys are going gaga over this girl? She looks decent, but I don't understand the fascination, especially with the baby weight...
This may come as a surprise to you, but in America, having a kid doesn't necessarily mean you're married...or engaged...or dating...or even talking to each other.
