I can name some guards that I think are better and tell me rather you agree with me or not. Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Manu Ginobilli, Chris Paul, Steve Nash, Dwayne Wade (not including this season but overall), Baron Davis. Overall right now these players to me are better than McGrady. I do believe that McGrady was just as good if not better than most of the players I named, but I do not believe that he is better than any of those guys now.

Talk to me when you have something to say. You can't be a real man with your own opinion and you only have 59 post on here and you have been a member since 2002?

sportscenter fans? i'm talking about actual coaches AND players who are still playing and coaching the game.

i'm not talking about legler or anthony or carlisle. i'm talking about current players and coaches.

you said he's not a superstar. i'm just telling you players like chris paul, lebron james, and coaches like george karl, popovich... say otherwise.

at what post count # does one become "a real man"?

perhaps TeamUSA can also shed some light as to what post count transforms you into a winner :p

Gee, I'm shocked that someone found something to whine about when it came to Tracy McGrady.

I'm not sure criticism of Tracy's comments merit a separate thread, but I do find the oft repeated "impose my will on the game" line is hard for me to stomach. It conveys an arrogance I don't think is intended or necessary. As currency in today's sports culture it may score points for young (and not so young) superstars to spout such nonsense, rather sincerely or otherwise, but I've always found it cheap.

But that's just my two cents.

Saying that his quote is the "mark of a loser" is "constructive criticism"?

    LOL.

Ok. AI's game tells me he can't get his team loaded with talent into the playoffs. Wade's game tells me he's on the worst team in the league and he's too much of a pansy to play the season so he'll tank.

Nash's game tells me they are a team that has just closed it's window to within this season, and if they don't get there, the whole project failed.

Oh and T-Mac is way better than anyone on this team it's not even close why can't he say it? When Yao was playing, T-Mac READILY admitted Yao was the best and considered him the best. He's only saying it now, when it's obvious. Let the man talk. He says stupid things sometimes, but not this time.

After reading your post it's ironic that you would bash someone's level of education.

This is a blog site. This is not Hoops Hype or some other random website that gives you informative information for the most part. We come here to discuss and talk about our basketball team. Just a bunch of random idiots talking about the team that we know and love passionately. Some guys like to read I get that. But don't challenge what I have to say when you are not really a contributor to this site. An opinion is an opinion and everyone has one I know this. While attacking my opinion then at least say something that is all I am saying. How does it look if you type a post and somebody says that is a stupid post? Yeah they have the right to say what they want to say and so do I. We are here to discuss the Houston Rockets. If my opinion is stupid then please explain why. I'm not a stubborn person and I can admit when someone makes a valid point and my views on a subject can change too. But when you don't make any points and you have smart comments to make it just looks very weak to me but again that is my opinion not yours.

Did you read my post? I said I listen to players and media and coaches and other sources of opinions. I understand that they feel different from me point taken. I've always been one to go on what I see and not what I hear.

Really? Allen Iverson, the same guy who consistently said he was an MVP? The same Allen Iverson who, in the NBA Finals, walked over to Kobe and said that they were going to Philadelphia now and talked crap about the Lakers being in trouble when then got to Philly? That same Iverson? I've heard Kobe and Jordan say that they had to lift their games to help their team win. What about Shaq? Try talking about something you know something about because you clearly don't know anything about basketball.

There is no magic number. There never will be. The post where you actually have something to say is the post where you become a real man.
