i was thinkin' maybe i'd get a maid, find a place nearby for her to stay. just someone to keep my house clean, cook my meals and go away. ...a man needs a maid.
Wouldn't you worry about the maid stealing stuff from you? The only kind of maid I want is the....heh.....
yeah they all steal but it's still better having most of your stuff clean than having all of your stuff covered in dust
I hate to sound rude, but why can't someone clean their own house? Unless you're working 100 hours a week it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe my way of thinking is crazy.
That price is probably about right, but you should be able to negotiate...I don't know of anyone on that side of town, but do know of someone in the Pasadena area... In dallas, I just started using one again once I tweaked my back about a month ago...I have a 1350 sq ft condo and I pay her $40...that includes pretty much everything and she did a bad ass job...I HATE mopping the floors...plus I never dust and she did it for me and this helps with my OCD tendencies... Now a friend of mine has a 3800 sq ft house and she charges her $100...
I know someone that cleans houses and wouldn't mind driving out to Deer Park (she lives near Hobby Airport, but used to clean a house near Deer Park). She cleans my house and charges around $75.00, but the whole house is sparkling when she's done. Shoot me an email and I'll send you the information.
Well, I'm technically in Deer Park, but I could just about throw a football into Pasadena from my front yard. The two cities are right next to each other. I agree. On top of that every person I know has had a maid steal something from their house. I even had a friend, whose maid helped some of her friends break in to the owner's house and get away with jewelry and a tv. I like to keep things so fresh so clean. Myself.
Man I am so glad I live in Beijing. I spend ~$6 a decent cleaning, or ~$15 if I want to clean EVERYTHING, on a maid cleaning a 1700 sq. feet condo. I usually ask for the maid every other week. It's amazing that for the first time in my life, my bathroom and kitchen can be nearly spotless. Unfortunately, I'm getting even less exercise than usual.
