The Culver's thread got me thinking about what is the best regional burger chain. Just for definition a regional chain is a chain that is based and primarily associated with one region and not nationwide. I know that Culver's is now down in Texas but I would still consider it an Upper Midwest Chain.

There aren't nearly enough choices on this poll. Pretty much every burger chain other than McDonald's, Wendy's, and Burger King are regional in nature

Looks like some people never had an In-N-Out burger.

Well I've had all of these and have to go with Whataburger. However this poll will be very biased for obvious reasons.

I live about a half of a mile from an in and out burger. Just because it's fresh, doesn't mean it's good. Just as flavorless as most chain burgers in my opinion. Culver's is pretty good by chain burger standards.

That said. I hardly ever eat at chain restaurants and should probably just keep my mouth out of this thread and leave it to the experts.

Texans think Waterburger is some sacred place with hallowed meat and magical ketchup.

I think its about as good as Jack in the Box.

In-N-out will always take a massive **** on everything else.

Never had whataburger or culvers and In n out only a couple times. I did have Fatburger once. And I thought it was grub.

    Honestly I would take a Carl's Jr. over In-N-Out 8 days a week.

The thing I remember about In-N-Out from my trips to Cali is the french fries. I don't know why, but I loved those things.

When I went to LA to see my bro in law, on the way to his apartment from the airport, we would stop by Tommy's to get a chili burger and some fries. That was excellent.

having never tried either in my life before last year, In-N-Out is by far a superior burger than Carl's Jr.

the last time I had Carl's (aka Hardee's), it was literally the last time I would ever eat another burger from their chain.

the meat looked it was 1/2 beef, 1/2 soy, and the migraine headache I suffered the following day was the worst I've had in years.

In-n-out has such a fresh, hot and juicy taste. the melted cheese is delish, and the fries are so fresh, I literally watched the dude split the potatoes that ended being my french fries.

whataburger is alright, but a mustard wheat and lettuce burger just doesnt do it for me.

I like Carls. Sometimes I want something different and not wait an hour for 2 animal style burgers. Carl's Jr. 5 dollar burgers are something else.

Does Texas have a steak-n-shake? That's one of the best burgers I've ever had.

Charlie's Hamburgers in old town spring was one of the best burgers ever.
