Since its doubtfull we could get Ming I think we should go 4 a 3. Dunleavy is good if he comes out but somehow I think he pulls a Battier. That being said I would really love Darius Rice if he come out. Think slightly less athletic Darius Miles with a great shot that has range past the 3 point line. If not him I do like Rod Grizzard a bunch. I know this means that Eddie is not a 3 like he wants to be but lets be realistic nice outside shot aside Eddie is probably not gonna have the dribbling skills to make the transition. Plus why would you want him away from the basket where his shotblocking and rebounding skills can most effectively be utilized.

Rice less athletic than Dunleavy..While I won't question Dunleavy is head and shoulders above Rice as a basketball player, I do think Rice does have the edge in terms of athleticism.. Gizzard would be a nice pick i agree..other players too look at: dickeau to put in the backcourt, Jacobsen to have someone with sound fundamentals in the starting lineup, Luke Walton (great big man passer)

He was comparing Darius Rice to Darius Miles ... it gets confusing :D

I disagree about Eddie not being able to dribble. In fact, I think he could do it now, but doenst want to *piss off* the coaches by trying.

Anyway, Rice sounds good, but as much as I hate Duke, they produce smart bball players, and Dunleavy looks like a better all around player.

If Walton can improve his defense and can somehow get more athletic, he would be a nice pick.

Dunleavy is a more athletic, taller version of Walton.

They are 2 of the smartest players in college ball. Obviously, genetics played a role in that.

Luke doesn't credit genetics, but rather to stay on the court in pick-up games in his backyard growing up he had to play heady basketball. If both were raised by different families and learned to play how they do anyway then their is a genetic argument.

I don't think Luke is that talented, IMO if he didn't learn to play in such a competitive environment he would not be playing in a elite college basketball program. But he did grow up playing like that, and because of it he is a very good college player in a top 5 program. I don't see any NBA potential there though.

I completely agree. Walton is not someone I would go after. I say if Dunleavy is still available we should take him.
