Why compare Jesus to politically conservative people?? There is absolutely ZERO correlation between those views that you listed and Christians.

    Why compare Jesus to politics?
instead of writing policy to help battle hunger, he would feed people.
instead of campaigning for money to aid the poor, he would give the poor clothes and shelter.

Based on his life and teachings, I would assume Jesus would teach that each individual should be helping his fellow man, without depending on the governement or tax dollars to do it.

Oh and by the way, Jesus DOES exist today. But hypothetically, if he were still on Earth in the human form.. then I would think he would be like a travelling motivational speaker of some sort, speaking wherever he could find a crowd.

    Let's be honest...

If Jesus were alive today, he'd be rich. All these churches taking money with no one to kick up to? It's like watching the Sopranos with no Tony. Jesus would have a Gold Plated Maybach, an iPhone(platinum cased), 6 of America's Next Top Model Chicks, and a cuban-link chain with a "Jesus Piece".

He would be up there with Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and Xenu?!

............ he would be labeled a communist and killed, like archbishop romero. Also, I don't think jesus would like the idea of preachers profiting from the word of god.

Most importantly, I think he would be a huge rockets fan :)

He could be our new point gaurd (and DaDakota would still complain).

He would need some of those high-top sandals though.

Jesus running the fast break... I can see it now...

    19.4 assists per game.

But tragically, we would let him go at the end of the season because he would want the full MLE and a no trade clause.

    Damn CBA!

People wouldn't want to fly with Jesus, since he is brown and has a beard.

Probably would be killed depending on what country He lived in. In the States, He probably would get a small circle of followers for his selfless acts in helping and healing others while displaying a Godly wisdom. This small circle of followers would eventually expand resulting in media exposure to endear and scrutinize Him at the same time and have a ton of analysts, atheist, agnostic, and religious scholars alike try to dispute His existence, decide whether He's just another person that claimed to be Christ, and run DNA tests.

All the while Christ would probably chastise the media and wealthy, and be condemned by them, as well as chastising religious scholars, Christian and non alike at the same time.

Then there will be those branches of believers. Possibly Catholicism and other Christian ideologies might realize He is in fact Christ, all the while Christ would probably test everyone's patience and beliefs by not performing miracles just for the sake of it, and instead doing it on His own time, based on His own terms.

Analysts would call it magic or something like that, and ask Him to do these miracles again for further testing and would want to PrimeTime it on global television for their monetary gain and media exposure, and scientists would try to disprove such mystic phenomena. Christian and Non-Christian religions whether its from the upper echelon leaders to the lower followers may riot over His existence, out of disbelief and belief too.

Christian sects would fight over which church was right, meanwhile Christ would continue to be Christ. Be human and divine, and would probably suffer the same fate that happened when He came into this world. Martyrdom, with possibly further emphasis that He died for our sins, and for our own resurrection from the dead. Pretty much history repeating itself.

That or He universally makes everyone know He is the real deal and unifies all of the human race. That would take away free will and choice however so its less likely, but I think He would at least give everyone the chance to recognize His existence, and that it would be up to them to welcome or deny His existence. Sort of the coming back to judge the living in the dead, only we're all participants in even welcoming Him into our lives at all.

Jesus took my order at Taco Shack last weekend -- he goes by his nickname now though, "Hey, Zeus can I get some extra salsa with that breakfast taco?"

This thread doesn't suck. It's an interesting intellectual thought.

My correlations and comparisons may have sucked, but for those who took the thread the way it was intended to be taken, it's actually interesting.
