Man if Yao got traded to Miami, I think he would j*zz over himself for the following reasons: * Play in a high-profile city * Play with a real competitor in Wade * If Yao already dominated the West, how do you think he'll fare in the East? * Get away from a chucker like McGrady * Play with a coach that knows a thing or two on how to coach dominant big men (Kareem and Shaq) * Have a decent PF to play with If I was on Team Yao, this trade would be a no-brainer, as for Rox, hello lottery...
I am chinese.like Yao ming.but what i want to say not base on that but base on my view to basketball. At first,i have to say that you are a stupid, foolish man. because your thread is insulting my intelligence,i have to get my time to correct it like getting rid of the computer virus. second, how do you know that Yao cann't do better than before to join the team? from when the teammate play as a team do you think ? third, you must be like small ball, but go deeper playoff must be with center .this point is simple, everyone know it .don't let your like cover mind. my english not good,i want to say more but don't know how to write it out.
This team without yao ming the last two years is like 30-15. Now add marion and beasly and we are in the lottery? That is some great logic.
Yao is the money-tree of houston , so no way Morey will trade him . If Yao have to go, believe me Lakers will trade Gasol + Bynum + Odom for him
Your right, I don't know if Yao can get better ( I hope he does) But I wouldn't bet on it. He is almost 30 and we are still talking about what he can be...... I hope I am wrong. I just think that there is a better chance of him getting hurt or getting worn down, then actually getting better and staying healthy for a couple of years in a row. Everyone wants to insult me becuase I mentioned Yao and trade in the same sentence. I am a big fan of Yao, but I am a bigger fan of the Rockets. I will do anyhing to make OUR team better. And I don't know, but I think it is worth considering getting Marion who is a borderline allstar and a Phenom who will be a top 10 player in this league. For a guy who I think has already peaked and is injury prone. Center's are the hardest thing to find, so it seems stupid to trade a big man for players that are a different kind of player. I heard a Patriots executive say that the hardest and most important move to make in the sports buisness is to get rid of a player a year early rather then a year to late.
Interesting trade. Michael Beasley will be a beast in the NBA. He's got all the moves and can pass and rebound.
Let me drop some knowledge: 1. Lakers (Bynum & Gasol) 2. SAS (Duncan) 3. Dallas 4. NO (Chandler) 5. Utah (Boozer & Okur) 6. Phoenix (Shaq) 7. GSW 8. Denver (Camby) 9. Portland (Oden) These are the teams that would be ahead of us next year if we don't have Yao. If the Rox doesn't have that presence in the middle, it'll be lottery...
Beasley a 50% bust? Are you kidding? Why don't you stop guesing and go look at his size and his stats in the Big 12. Its not the NBA, but to say he has a 50% chance of being a bust is dumb.
Beasley is enticing, to say the least, but I think we'll take our chances with Yao Ming. Maybe we can trade someone else to get their first pick, but I think they'll hang on to Beastly if they get him. Yao stays. We don't need Shawn Marion anyways. Yao Ming > Shawn Marion+Not-yet-proven Rookie
WHAT IF ALONG WITH THIS TRADE THE ROCKETS COULD TRADE UP THERE OTHER 1ST ROUND PICK TO GET HAKEEM THABEET (UCONN 7FT 3) ADLEMAN HAKEEM THABEET BEASTLEY MARION MCGRADY RAFER FULL MOTION OFFENSE BASH DR BASKETBALL ALL YOU WANT BUT IT IS DEFINITELY INTERESTING!!! But still Yao = Cash cow
we're 11-3 without yao playin some of the toughest teams right now. and you're saying we would be in the lottery? if we add marion + beasley? your love for yao must be blinding.
There's only one player Miami would trade their #1 pick for, and thatd be LeBron James, anything else they wouldnt look at. Beasley is a franchise player and is BETTER than Durant was in college. In fact he's more NBA ready than Durant because of his size and strength. I would trade Yao for Beasley straight up, anyone would. They wouldnt even have to add Marion.
Um excuse me if i miss understood your post but, RIK Smiths? "All he had was Miller, Antonio Davis, Del Davis and Travis Best" That sounds like your saying smiths was the star and miller was a role player or something..... REGGIE MILLER IS A FREAKIN BASKETBALL LEGEND AND THE GREATEST SHOOTER OF ALL TIME I just had to clear that up cuz it was bothering me.
