Dude.......y'all can't be serious. Y'all left out the best one of all time. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Vp-is6S_b_g
that song was great... however, the beginning part with cee-lo is missing. that was like the best part of the song. it was something that a lot of the "younger" folks could somewhat relate to. and yes... wu-tang was a given. i just threw gza in there because he was by far the most talented.
It's a shame Big Pun died before getting the recognition he deserved. Lyrically the guy was amazing and he had a lot of good songs besides "I'm not a player."
Nas Illmatic revolutionized hip-hop... and it still never gets the props it deserves. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UKjj4hk0pV4&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UKjj4hk0pV4&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Never really liked gangster rap. More of a De la Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Kool Keith, Outkast, Wu-Tang fan.

For the pure hip hop listeners try Fatratradio.com internet station Get all the Ras Kass, Heltah Skeltah, Coco Brovaz/Smif-N-Wessun flavor & east coast influenced rap you can handle. Might even make you want to put on a bucket hat and some camouflage fatigues afterward. ...To show that era had the most variety rap ever had, what the heck was that period with the "horrorcore"? GANGSTA RAP #1 CNN Yo, imagine us cowards You still live with mommy, still get allowance I chase Henny, bubblin ounces I returned off a short stretch, stuck in the mountains What's this I hear huh? This is my year 'Pone **** kosher you think not? I give you my ear Now listen closer I was born, and I'ma die here Listen soldier, I rap and keep one in the holster ***** you front, and I'ma pop one in your shoulder
I'm completely serious when I tell you I sing this song all the freaking time. All...the....time. It's been hardwired in my brain. ATCQ was by far my favorite rap act of all time. No close second.
haha nice call on the Ganksta Nip. Actually, he also wrote Bushwick Bill's lyrics for the Chucky song. Bushwick hardly ever wrote his own lyrics.
I build my team around a good quarterback, I ain't no Dom Capers and occasionally piss off the Democrats, like my name was Ralph Nader They said to go for Bush or Young, they thought it was safer Now that Super Mario is in the house, where are you haters? Where's my Grammy?
