Yes,you don't need a true center right now.

    Houston need a center.
If we trade Yao,at least get one to replace him.

what i want to say....why we always hold the idea that either T-mac or Yao
can lead the team especially in play-offs?

we need both of them

Just to play along with OP's school of thought

Getting Marion who's FA next year I believe and rookie is a horrible way to get some return for Yao. He is worth way more than that.

If you want to give up Yao, you have to get back a young premium PG, an young atheletic PF and a good C.

I see a 3 way trade among HOU, Clippers, and the Blazers.

Houston gives up Yao+B.Jack's expiring, gets back Brandon Roy, Aldridge, Chris Kaman

    Roy/Tmac/Battier/Aldrige/Kaman

This is a hell of lineup

Thanks. Exactly what I want to say. Hell, if Miami could make this deal, essentially it's like they exchange an elder Shaq for Yao in the series of trades. Why could they be so lucky? (used Shaq to win a ring, and then when Shaq becomes old, they could trade him to get YAO) The God especially like Heats or what?

I was thinking Clips getting Yao and sending Brand, Livinston,Margette to the blazers. Probably doesnt make too much sense to the blazers either.

    A trade that does work.

    Yao for Paul and Chandler.

Paul and Chandler lead the league in ally oops !!

Basically a trade of the best center for the best point guard and a filler.

I dont see NO would risk their current winning formula for a future plan around Yao.

I am trying hard to get us back a young big time PG. I only see three

    Paul, Deron and Roy.

Only Roy might be a remote possibilty.

If we dont get one of these guys back for Yao at least, I dont see how we could be a contender.

I would only trade Yao for LeBron James or Chris Paul and Tyson Chandler and this is the only way Yao leaves Houston if i was GM.

Only way to really get better is to tank a season and get a number 1 pick or get lucky like the Lakers and Celtics. You know, get superstars for free. You end up giving too much and gaining too little back in normal trades. Not like teams are going to trade their stars like Dwight Howard. :(

Well, you forget one thing. Whatever trade involved YAO, you simply don't take him just as a player. There are lots of money/market stuff involved, and you could guarantee Les wants more talents back from Yao trade.

    :D ^^
The best way to get rid of Yao is to put him on the market, let's see the highest bidder.

Contenders are dying to get a real center with half of Yao's abilty. And here we are talking about how to get rid of him. Hahaha. This is insane.

Would you guys trade all the expiring contracts next season to Denver for Marcus Camby?
