Rockets power forward Carl Landry, who missed the past seven games with a sore right knee, returned to the lineup Friday night against the Warriors. "It feels good to be back on the court," Landry said. "My knee is very close to 100 percent and back to normal. I'm going to get back out there and try to help my team out." Landry has been out of the lineup since March 8, forcing the Rockets to rely on Chuck Hayes and Mike Harris to provide more minutes at power forward. Both have played well, but the Rockets have missed Landry's low-post game. Rockets coach Rick Adelman said he wasn't sure how many minutes Landry could play. "We'll just have to see how it goes," Adelman said. "He hasn't really practiced or anything so I have to see how he responds in the game. I'm sure we're not going to extend him for very many minutes I bet even adleman is surprised at how well Landry played in his first game back. Not even rustiness affects Carl "the beast" landry.
Duncan challenges shots. There is no way Landry will have the chance to dunk on either Shaq or Amare because both are well known gutless chicken who run away from dunks instead of challenging it.
What was our main problem in the front court in the offseason? we needed a an average sized PF, who could do all the things that chuck and J-ho did, and be big, fast, and strong. Landry is exactly what we needed, even more so than Scola (He's just gravy).
Interesting new nickname (at least the first I've seen of it) but I still prefer Landlord Landry. Everytime he dunks he's just collecting the rent and if they don't pay then he'll evict them on the next possession.
Landry's dunk near the end of the game had me out of my chair. He did a reverse dunk and was so unbelievablly high. He's definately future all star potential. Lock him up! Pay the man
Great game by Landry and it's amazing to see him play everytime. It is great to know he is back and healthy.
