both are great player and both got they own playin style. Landry and Scola has more games to offer ,remerber both are still in thier rookie year,I think they going to be furture all star players. Landry is a more stronger offense player then scola for example can finish strong whihc mean harder for the other team to block his shoot, and scola got more defense, like taking charges.
I like to see them play together......they compliment each other well and both move into open space very well. I like Scola as a starter and Landry as an off the bench energy boost. DD
Without Yao and Landry for a while, Scola is really tired. In fact, he is still quite good tonight, 4/9 => 9 pts, 10 rbs.
Scola 26 or 27-3 as a starter. I aint touchin THAT for NUTHIN. I'll ride that train all the way until season's end and even next. Ginobili's better than Michael Finley and 90% of the league but his role helps his team win. Dont want to hold Landry back making him a 4 million bench guy next season but the team prospers with him doing what he currently does.
what "enforcer" type PF that is playing in the league right now would you want. i need a few examples
same question here. It could have been Carl Landry in Seattle enforcing a dunk down the Rockets frontcourt's throat
I'm just so glad we have both of them... When this team is healthy, we have what is probably the deepest and most talented frontcourt rotation in the NBA.
haiz, after all scola did in the past few games. A couple dunks and people are all over Landry. I take scola over Landry every day, but i also take Landry over Harris everyday.
I think you misread it. I said "some posters" as in other people. I was always a believer in giving Landry and Scola, a chance. It pissed me off, for these guys to be not given a chance by some posters.
i agree They do different things but tmac gets guys the ball right under the basket and he almost always finishes. Scola, on the other hand, is a great post up player who can do it on his own. Landry's post up game is nowhere near as developed but he is perfect for taking advantage of teams keying in on tmac and the free flowing offense. The point is we need both to be successful and get sufficient scoring with Yao out.
yep. The divorce of Scolandry is just around the corner. It will soon become Scola vs Landry. And everyone is going to have to take a side, which will merely increase the amount of Starter Sucks vs Start the Bench Player threads, and force lurkers to register to make their first post saying "I like both players" to only get ignored by the more "experienced" posters who have taken a side on the issue. Next year when the Knicks force us to game 6 of the Finals, it will come to a head after Scola fouls out in his worst playoff game ever, but Landry gets called for hanging on the rim on the tying slam dunk with no time left, allowing Nowitzki to seal the victory with a walk-off technical foul shot.
I agree..we need to lock Landry up for the long haul...these two are going to just benefit us for the years to come..i really think we will win a championship with these two plus Yao t-mac and battier...the future is so bright..and so is the present!
From the tone of your voice is reads like you're riding the fense on this issue of who's better between Scola and Landry. You're one of those Scolandry fans ... living in the past. You're just living in the past. I hat damn tweeners who won't polarize issues like the rest of us.
I think a more accurate statement is that "Carl Landry is the more athletic PF". Landry is more effective than Scola against a team like the Warriors but I still think that Scola's experience, bball IQ and passing ability make him the better choice to start against most teams.
Rockets need more scoring options so I think Carl is more important. When teams double Tmac Landry has a field day.
