You can't go wrong with either of them. They both bring different things and compliment Yao and McGrady very well. We have a great tandem at power-forward.
Scola - good against San antonio, Phoenix, Lakers, Dallas, Portland, Orlando, Detroit. Landry - good against everyone. You need Landry to beat a Boston, Golden State, or New Orleans. Otherwise those teams just creamate you inside with their physical athletic energy guys.
You don't need to find out who's better between these two This duo solved the PF problem that has been haunting the Rockets for so long And they match up well with different styles of plays Luis starts, Landry finishes, then ROCKETS can go all the way!
man quit complaining both of those guys are awesome. geez u guys want to debate about every minute detail.
Scola can create his own shot, I haven't seen Landry do that. Scola is a better defender too. But it feels so good now we have this kind of trouble after having Chuck as our starting PF for a season.
too many TO and missing lay up for Luis. dont do the spin move at the elbow, get ripped off every single time. Carl just has so amazing finishing ability
Totally agree. Though Scola is a rookie, he is more of a proven player with a lot of move. And his playing style enables him to contribute consistently, and to be less affected by the opponent. Plus when back to the basket, he can create for himself. Landry is an offensive powerhouse like someone put it, but so far he need a clear path to the basket to be effective. I do not think he will be better than Scola when single covered by an established defender, such as Tim Duncan. IMHO, Scola is still a better player than Landry at this stage of their career.
i'm not sure about creating his own shots, but he great at being at the right place at the right time for rebounds. it's got a nack for predicting the balls bounce projectory and hustles through traffic to get it . however, he has a problem of trying to put the ball up in traffic after the he gets the rebounds. there's times when he should've passed it out
Scola needs to do a better job of getting open especially when our guards are under the rim and trapped
