I was violently allergic to one med prescribed, so I did itch, thank you. Still, it isn't funny. Do you make fun of people with cancer?
This season we've seen the avalanche of "Start Stevie!" threads to "Start Mike James!" to the McGrady v. Yao threads to the Trade TMAC threads.. and then everyone thought we were unstoppable because we discovered Scolandry.. and now we've lost a couple in a row and we are cooked, and McGrady is a lazy player again. I agree, its mentally draining reading the bbs sometimes.
Maybe it's Tmac that is bipolar one. He goes from MVP to MDP faster than you can say Manic Depressive Personality. And this board is just a reflection Common signs and symptoms of mania include: * Feeling unusually “high” and optimistic (Throwing his fist in the air bumping chests Kicking the goalpost) * Unrealistic, grandiose beliefs (We can to win a championship w/o Landry and Yao) * Sleeping very little, but feeling extremely energetic (Tmac said he couldn't sleep before big games in the streak) * Talking so rapidly that others can’t keep up (Couldn't understand much when he was talking about Barkley eating a cupcake) * Racing thoughts; jumping quickly from one idea to the next (My Team is playing at a high Level, Rafer is the best, My teammates can't make a shot * Highly distractible, unable to concentrate * Acting recklessly without thinking about the consequences (Driving to the lane against much bigger man not worrying about his body) * Delusions and hallucinations (in severe cases) (It's on Me, Our goal isn't to get out of the first round but to win it all) Common symptoms of bipolar depression include: * Feeling hopeless, sad, or empty. ("This weight has gotten heavy for me and it's taking a toll.") After he missed games for personal reasons * Loss of interest in things you used to enjoy ("At times, I don't even want to be in the arena or a uniform," ) * Fatigue or loss of energy (I'm Tired) * Physical and mental sluggishness (Looks Lazy on court) * Appetite or weight changes (Getting skinnier) * Sleeping too much or too little (I'm Tired) * Concentration and memory problems (can't remember how to run Motion Offense) * Feelings of self-loathing, shame, or guilt ("I tried, man, I tried,'' he drooped his head as a tear trickled down his face...
I'll make fun of anyone in any situation as long as it's in a joking manner. If you can't laugh and joke what's the point of living. It's not like someone called people that are Bi Polar "Psychotic Freaks" or something. Get over it and stop feeling sorry for yourself it's not like you have cancer.
man this should actually be a sticky clutch. this is a 10 star thread need a new rating system. i agree 100% and also you might want to mention all the 22 win members that are on here now. feb. 2008 - march 2008 members.
Yeah man, go to McDonald's and buy a sundae. They always cheer me up. But get the oen with not nuts. Not nuts makes me sad.
This right here is one of the greatest posts I have ever seen. EVER. ... With that said, I still don't agree with it 100%. More like about 95%. You can be a great, diehard, fully supportive fan, but still be able to see and point out some weaknesses in the team. But you should absolutely not make depressed diatribes in the situation we're in, and you absolutely should not hate on your star players unless they do something to disgrace the city or the franchise.
Best post EVAR!!! Give him the Clutchie for BB related post of the year right now! Well played, Jeff! I have been on spring break this week and, per my yearly routine, have been on the 'net very little. The losses were disappointing (the Boston game was bittersweet as I attended the Laker game and so had the pleasure of seeing the final game in the streak), but not the end of the world, just as the streak did not (necessarily) predict our eventual championship. During the streak, I also had a superstition built up as the beginning of the streak coincided with a heavy school load during which I was unable to attend a stretch of games. Thankfully, I learned that my attendance (or the stinky shirt you mentioned) has very little to do with wins and losses. I blame my behavior squarely where it belongs, on the shoulders of Crash Davis who once said, "Never f*** with a winning streak." Again, well played, Jeff.
Remember when Tracy McGrady was diagnosed on this very board as clinically depressed? I think the McGrady-Clutchfans BBS Community relationship started going downhill when his wife was accused of carrying another man's child. That thread may have done irreparable damage to the relationship in question and both sides may very well have to pursue a legal divorce due to irreconcilable differences. From that point forward, things haven't been the same...
