They would be very scary good if they had en enforcer to play beside Dirk.

    Dirk is beyond overrated.

The Mavs kept going to him in the 4th quarter and he kept delivering with turnovers and bricks.

If I am not mistaken the only 2 points he got in the final period were from free throws.

I think some of it is also the Mavericks just aren't that great anymore. They haven't been a .500+ team in a really long time. Shaq is working out better than Kidd it seems.

So much for the nonsense the Celtics are overrated because they are in the Eastern Conference.

I gotta admit that I didn't think that the Celtics could sweep the Texas Triangle.
    Gotta give them credit.

Put T-Mac on a team with other capable scorers like Howard, Jet or Stack (so teams can't double and triple him like a mug) or with a PG that can get you open looks (so he doesn't have to create for everyone).

You can never make a Dirk/T-Mac comparison without noting the help. I can never see Dirk carrying a talent depleted squad anywhere.....

It doesn't help that their offense was basically to stand around and watch Dirk. This JKidd stuff really isn't working out. Mavericks used to have somewhat of a free flowing offense, although it was strictly controlled by Avery. Guys knew where to be, knew where they could get their shots off, and could go to Dirk as a last resort. With Jkidd out there it's almost like they're trying to get something going in the rhythm of the game, but this team just doesn't have that. Kidd will make a drive and a pass and perhaps get somebody a shot, but the rest of the Mavs just don't or won't play that way, and if they don't get the shot off, Kidd stands at the three point line where you can rely on him for a deadly 30% if he's open.

It's looking ugly in Dallas. Harris gave them another weapon that they could go to at any time since he could drive on almost anybody. Kidd's drives are inefficient and lead to turnovers half the time because he rarely looks to score. I'm not even sure what the Kidd rationale was. Kidd sucks in half court and Mavs rarely break. Who's going to run on that team? It sure as hell ain't dirk, Howard rarely runs, Jet will occasionally run a one man fast break, Dampier is a tortoise out there, who is going to run with Kidd? Stackhouse is 37 years old and his specialty is bricking threes

Mavs. My most hated team is the Celtics, and thats before the streak ending loss.
