None of the choices given. The team right now has no legitimate 2nd scoring option (except Rafer in that game). Yao gone, Landry down. Scola is only as good as there is another inside presence. Tmac is basically beseiged. It's the same situation when Tmac was down and before Scola and Landry got significant playing time. Yao simply couldn't do it by himself when Chuck was his on court partner. Definitely Yao won't be back in time, so Landry is our only hope.
while landry's return will almost certainly help quite a bit, to put our hopes on a second round rookie who is a bench player says something about the current status of this team. i'm worried.
He is tired, playing 48 mins for two games and playing a lot in the streak, he is no longer a young player, he is ok with a little rest, and landry was a big help for the team.
Wait a minute, everyone is hating on T-MAC today. While only 24 hours ago I was flamed for the doing the same thing? Typical.
well then there should be other threads considering why other parts of the team have suddenly disappeared then. Its not just T-mac, Rafer has also disappeared majorly since the Lakers game. The bench today was totally non existant. They didn't play many minutes but they didn't do much either in terms of offence. They were fairly ordinary against Celtics too. In fact the bench was a big reason why we had our streak. I don't think anyone has talked about that yet either.
Poor T-Mac, lets trade him... WTF are you writing, TRACY McGRADY PLAYS WITH PASSION AND HEART! I cant believe people are bashing T-Mac just because Rockets lost two games due to fatigue.
i'm sorry, even i cannot defend tmac's play the last 3 games. i'm not going to resort to calling him names b/c i'm sure he wants to win. but i'm really disappointed. but adelman is right also. the role players have to make it easier for him by making the open shots. he's gonna get doubled harder than he ever has. we really need landry back desperately. hayes and deke -> disaster. but as a superstar, tmac has not played like one. but i'll keep believing in the team and hope they can get out of this. i don't want to see a spiral right now.
Totally agree. Some people can't understant it. But why this thread is only about Tracy? Last two games team sucked in 2nd halfs. It is just FATIGUE. In the 1st half we were pretty much fresh but in the 2nd we cound't even run, the defense wasn't there and nobody could hit anything because of tired legs. The streak did cost us TOO MUCH.
Agree, it is not about only T-Mac. The whole team suck. The whole team is tired. It would be cool to have week off but we play again back2back...
This team is on the way down. Fatigue my ass. Every NBA team has played the same amount of games. and the elite ones DO NOT let fatigue overcome them. hence, that is why the Rockets are NOT an elite team.
this's tmac. what do you expect. if he plays well night in and night out, he would be mentioned in the same sentence as kobe or lebron.
He's just physically tired. He looked REALLY slugish trying to turn the corner on Peja last night. He was trying hard. I just hate when people say he's a quitter. His body just doesn't respond like it used to, and I don't know why people are having a hard time understanding this. There are going to be nights when he will amaze us with the T-mac of old and some nights he will just look OLD like last night no matter how hard he tries. It doesn't help when the defense is geared towards stopping you either because Yao isn't there.
I agree. Last night against no you could see he really wanted, he tried so hard but he doun't even buy a basket
it's been mentioned plenty of times, but I'll go ahead and say it again. No other team has won 22 games in a row...since the 70s. Of the teams that won 33 and 20 ina row, they went on to lose 4 of 5 or 5 of 6. I think that's indicative of the burden of trying to keep a streak like that going. You are going to crash from that high a little. Unfortunately, The Rockets can't really afford to use this week's games to get back up to a respectable level. But it's what they are faced with. As long as they can get it figured out by the playoffs, then we're good. Question is...will they?
