For the streak, you guys were having a Manic Episode characterized by the following symptoms of such:

    • Inflated self-esteem or grandiosity (thinking the Rockets are the best team EVAR)
    • Decreased need for sleep (staying up all night posting on the BBS)
    • More talkative than usual (or typeative)
    • Flight of ideas or subjective experience that thoughts are racing (multiple successive posts about nothing)
    • Attention is easily drawn to unimportant or irrelevant items (look at these pictures from practice!)
    • Increase in goal-directed activity (must wear same stinky shirt I've worn for the last 48 days)
    • Excessive involvement in pleasurable activities that have a high potential for painful consequences (watching every last second and having to listen to Clyde Drexler's color commentary)

Now that it is over and we've lost a couple games to good opponents, your going through a Major Depressive Episode characterized by:

    • Depressed mood (and posting style)
    • Markedly diminished interest or pleasure in all, or almost all, activities (rampant posting of depressing thoughts)
    • Significant weight loss when not dieting or weight gain or decrease or increase in appetite (or drunkenness)
    • Insomnia or hypersomnia (or posting too much)
    • Psychomotor agitation or r****dation (typing the same things over and over with malice)
    • Fatigue or loss of energy (at least when it comes to using your brain)
    • Feelings of worthlessness or excessive or inappropriate guilt (but you SWORE that buzzer beater was the turning point for Novak)
    • Diminished ability to think or concentrate, or indecisiveness (You SAID TMac was great and you apologized to Rafer, but now you want them both cut or maybe you don't or maybe it's just the coach!)
    • Recurrent thoughts of death (or killing someone)

In short, you're all f***ing crazy.

    :)

Haha, I guess I consider myself a culprit of this. Proud to say I'm nowhere near the only one.

Being a fan is a lonely and indescribable thing, it's easy to be sane, to be the bandwaggoner, it's hard to be insane, relentless and above all overzealous when it comes to details. I've accepted the fact that I'm insane, otherwise I wouldn't have joined the forums. :D

I'm interested to see how Toyota Center will be when the Rockets return home. Will it be that "college game" atmosphere like during the streak? or will it be that "only the rowdy section is paying attention to the game" feel

Maybe it's just me, but I always thought that a fan believed their team could do NO wrong no matter what happened. They are the die hard Red Sox fans who believe that every year is their year and still gave them standing ovations when the season was over.

Fans are not people who go from hating their team when it is mediocre to loving it when it is good to hating it again when it loses a couple games. Fans don't hate their team's players. Fans don't openly root for them to fail (I've seen that on here numerous times) or demand they be traded at the slightest sign of struggle.

Fans stick up for their team no matter what.

Try to avoid the GARM after the rocket lost a few games, it does wonder for your sanity.

OK, you fail miserably for that oversized post.

Newsflash, the bigger your text, the more likely people actually skip over it. I read the first line and skipped the rest.
