The Rockets are in need of adding depth to the front court with Yao Ming out for the year and Carl landry missing the last six games because of an injured knee. Woods has played five years in the NBA. He played his first two seasons with Minnesota. Woods spent the 2003-2004 season with Miami and then the next two years with Toronto. Woods played this season in Europe with Efes Pilsen in Turkey. In 16 games there he averaged 8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks a game. In five years in the NBA Woods, 7-2 and 260 pounds, averaged 2.6 points and 3.3 rebounds a game. The Rockets had considered signing free agent center Dale Davis who worked out for Houston Monday but league sources told FOX the club decided to sign Woods.
He's a more lively body that J Will or D Davis. But dont expect too much. Hope he improves his game a bit.
The Rockets "Medical" team is on it. :/ Seriously, considering this year and how sketchy injuries have been, I'm silently dreading the worst.
Wood has a very lanky frame. They need to remind the arena not to turn the ventilation too high, ow, Wood will get blew away.
So many so quick to judge... most probably don't know a d*mn thing about him. Have faith that Morey's team is working hard to find the right way to deal with other teams' bigs. We can do some damage in the post season if we can find the right guy; and defense is priority.
LMAO! I know for sure u dont know about a damn thing about Loren Woods. I got the luxury watching this guy's career with the Craptors.
Needed another big to help out inside. At least he is 7'2''. You never know how he will play in RA system.
Apparently. You didn't notice every other big name FA and get-me-a-ring prostitute skipping us to sign elsewhere?
