I cringed when I decided to write this thread considering the fact that the responses would be dominated by "Raef for Walt and Langhi" suggestions. That aside... are there any plausible trade scenarios involving the Rockets? I know that Rashard Lewis is on the block, but I know the Rocks don't have a whole lot of acceptable packages that don't include Mobley, Franchise, or Griffin. So is there anything the Rockets could or would do before the deadline for Lewis or a servicable big man?
please. get real. why do you think they would ever do this anyways? you think this is fair? think about it man. oh sorry - its like a reflex now. i see the word 'trade' and it just comes out.
I guess that CD's phone is as quiet as this thread. Well, unless the Kiki is calling him and telling him to not even think about putting together a package of crap for one of the top 5 centers in the West. Thanks NugzFan, it's not a trade rumor if you're not there to tell us how rediculous it is when it concerns the nuggets, lol.
Hey... I know the sarcasm in this thread was pretty evident, but I am really interested in the possibility of landing a pretty decent player that fits a need for us prior to the NBA trading deadline. I was wondering if those aleged "insiders" around here have heard any hot rumors?
I'd be curious to that too. IMO, though, any trade that doesnt land us an impact player would be a waste. This team has had too many different starting line-ups as is. So while I would be for somehow getting a Rashard Lewis or Raef LaFrentz, in all likelihood it would require giving up a significant piece and the team would once again have to learn how to play with a new teammate.
We should sign Mario Ellie to a 10 day contract so he can get in Mooch, Cat and Steve's face when they fuc-up
Acquiring Raef or Rashard might be a more significant piece of the puzzle for the long term, no? Spending half of a lost season learning how to play together might be the very best thing. Odds are long against us making the playoffs this year, are they not?
How About this : L.A. Lakers trades: Kobe Bryant $11,250,000 to Houston L.A. Lakers trades: Shaquille O'neal $21,428,572 to Houston TOTAL: $32,678,572 Houston trades: Kevin Willis $3,000,000 to L.A. Clippers trades: Elton Brand $3,882,360 to Houston TOTAL: $9,831,450 Washington trades: Michael Jordan $1,000,000 to Houston TOTAL: $1,000,000 TRADE ACCEPTED Due to L.A. Lakers, Houston, and Washington being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. L.A. Lakers, Houston, and Washington had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. L.A. Lakers would also receive a trade exception of $4,348,490 with this trade. This would have to be used within one calendar year from the date of this trade. Be aware that this exception will be extinguished if the team which possesses it falls below the cap by the combined amount of the exceptions it currently possesses. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You have been assigned Trade ID number 450049 Talk about it on the Trade Board Our Starting Lineup would be Shaq/Griffin Brand/Odom Jordan/C.Maggette Kobe/Q.Richardson Francis/McInnis IR Torres
If you're still looking for a C despite Cato's recent performances, you should see a doctor. I wouldn't mind landing Rashard Lewis. But no way in HELL for the MAX. I'm not an insider or anything, but here's a trade I like and would help both teams: Rodney Rogers for Walt and KT. It would help both teams, and Rogers is not as good a PF as KT, which they need to backup (a lot) or even start in fornt of Googs till he recovers. we could use Rogers to start at SF for us now, then backup both forward spots or something. What do you guys think?
WHAT THE HELL!?! You have to get alot more than that, we gave away collier and langhi, they are future superstars.
