AntiSonic=total TMac hater. You've been waiting for MONTHS for this game to happen so you could start ripping him. Ridiculous, but not surprising

All of you negative minded posters in here are define the phrase "jumping off the bandwagon".

TMac gets hit all the time when things don't necessarily go as desired.

He absolutely did not blame his teammates. He simply stated a fact....you want to take pressure of him?....the other players have to hit shots.

Missed freethrows and lay-ups (that would have been sur-fire dunks if Landry would have been in there) lead to playing from behind. When a team plays from behind, they tend to gamble a little more on defense, shoot a little more hesitantly, and things can go really bad.

It's not TMac's fault...nor did he blame his teammates.

    Get off him.

blown out of proportion...No one played well last night, including T-mac...everyone is probably tired, but especially t-mac...everything revolves around him and everything is on him...

The streak is still the 2nd longest in NBA history and there is a lot to be proud of if you're a true Houston Rockets fan...

Something like Rockets' defense on Kobe. Well but they are known for a great defense they are the best in the leauge. McGrady had a tough nigh and especially when there was nobody who could hit a shoot Celtics had even easier task to deal with Mac.

There's more than one way to interpret that quote. Maybe T-Mac was saying that his teammates were going to have to get it done because he wasn't able to?

Relying on your teammates is not a bad thing. It got the Rockets 22 wins in a row. I like the fact that T-Mac kept his shots under control and only took 11 attempts. The Rockets will win as a team and they'll lose as a team, but they're going to do a lot more winning than losing.

I'm also going to predict that T-Mac's game looks a lot better when Yao gets back.

This game was like playing a mirror image of ourselves from last year. You are looking at the JVG defenses with athletic premium players. Thibodeau knows T-Mac inside and out and he knows which direction T-Mac likes to dribble and which way he likes to turn and take defenders off the dribble. All Thibodeau has to do is make up a defensive scheme to neutralize T-Mac which is what he did.

Swarming defense on T-Mac by two defenders at all times. He didn't have a chance to drive. Sorry all you guys who say we need T-Mac to drive. Duh! They took away the middle in typical JVG style. We couldn't penetrate. Everything we put up was contested. They dared us to make our outside shots and we failed. Maybe we could have had a few more open looks had we we made an extra pass but even the passing lanes were contested.

His team mates DO need to make open shots, just like anyone else who has the privelege of playing basketball for a living. He's not criticizing his teammates for anything.

Fran Blinebury is a terrible writer. He was probably one of those fat kids that got picked on a lot in school, and now he's all bitter like a dumped old woman.

    He'll never be John McClain.

    The sky is falling..

    It's the end...

    We won't make the playoffs...

    Laundry broke is knee...

    Anymore?

BTW, I want to thank the Rockets for a wonderful 22 win streak run. It has brought excitement to the city and made the lost of Yao a little easier to take. (Get back soon Yao!).

And T-Mac is carrying the team. It gets heavy sometimes and when you play against the 1# defense keyed on stopping you, you will have a bad game. It's not like they put their best defender on T-Mac, they put their whole team on him and the rest of the Rockets couldn't shoot straight. You don't miss a bunch of layups, miss free throws miss open shots and expect to beat the #1 defense and #1 team in the league, do you?

It was a bad game and the Rockets got whipped. Gee, that's how it feels. We Rocket fans haven't felt that in a long time. That's what the 22 win streak has done for us. We felt great for a extended period of time and that means something.

But this BBS has the "fans" who would love to "call it like it is" and call T-Mac lazy, weak, not the man, whatever. That's your opinion and it's a free country. But I thought the team was going to go on a 10 game losing streak when Yao ended his season and instead, the team and T-Mac pull out a 10 game win streak. That was the big surprise.

Thanks you, T-Mac, thanks Scola, Alston, Battier Mutumbo and the rest of the gang for the good times.

Now lets get another winnign streak started!!!!

Bottom line the offense was shot down completely. Thanks to their defensive coach , who happens to be ex-Rocket coach.

Fans are so emotional. When things are going great... everything's rosy. Lose just one game and everything is going to hell. The sky is falling. Save the women and children.

Oh, lawd, what is us gon' do!!

You never know. If tmac continues to play like the way he did vs. the lakers and celtics. We might just get blown out of the spot. Nothing is guaranteed in the western conference. People talk about not being able to go in the 2nd round with tmac. We may not even make it into the first round of the playoffs if tmac continues his awesome play of 8 points.
