Rockets has give me so much fun in my life, otherwise I will just be bored and lonely all by myself in another country
It's a bit sad that the stadium was empty at 3:00 mark in the 4th quarter... The team really deserve this standing ovation, even they lost.
Got to pay my respect to the team. What a great run! Now let's start another momentum towards the playoffs.
An enjoyable 7 weeks. I am very proud of the team and how they responded, and I hope they respond to this loss with the professionalism they have shown all year and get back to winning tomorrow. DD
Now I feel bad about the stupid Jeremiah was a bullfrog joke earlier. Great thread I loved every second of this ride, and losing to the best team in the league doesn't diminish it AT ALL. They have done something that only one other team in NBA history has done, and I couldn't be prouder of the Rockets for doing it not only with great teamwork and hustle, but with class. the Rockets remind me time and time again of why I'm a lifelong fan. :criesalittlebit: NOW Rockets, go study the tape for NOLA and LETS KICK SOME MAJOR BUTT!
Could this be the only time I have ever been proud of a 20 point blowout loss? No matter what fans of other teams will say, what talking heads on ESPN will spout off, no matter whether this loss "exposed" us, for me it will be part of "The Streak", celebrated and remembered just as the last game of a dominant player's career will be remembered not for the score, but for everything that came before it. For once, it truly felt as if this group of highly paid athletes was actually playing for us, the fans; feeding off the energy of the city, internalizing the exterior criticism and taking on an Animal Farm-esque motto of "I must work Harder" every night. This is why we are willing to post on message boards, watch box scores fanatically at work, shell out $10 for a beer at a game, or watch a pixellated, Chinese dubbed, laggy feed on the internet. It's why we wear the same lucky replica jersey when we're a thousand miles away from the game, or kick the girlfriend out of the room when the opponent goes on an 8-0 run. It's why we stomached Kelvin Cato, Maurice Taylor and the Mooch. Because maybe, just maybe, we knew, that for one shining moment, or in this case, six beautiful weeks, we as fans would get to share in a moment like this, being able to claim it as our own. And it truly is our own. I would ask of every Rocket faithful, whether you've been on the bandwagon from #16, or Oct 14th, 1971, to drink in this momentous occasion. For one night, don't worry about what 12 year old idiot fans of other teams have to say about how the streak was a fluke, or it was lucky, or it doesn't mean anything. That's bullcrap. In the same way no one should ever have to defend their faith, no fan should ever have to defend the streak. Thank you, Rick Adelman, Elston Turner, T.R. Dunn, R.J. Adelman, Jack Sikma, Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, Shane Battier, Rafer Alston, Dikembe Mutombo, Luis Scola, Chuck Hayes, Carl Landry, Aaron Brooks, Steve Novak, Bobby Jackson, Steve Francis, Mike Harris, Mike James, Bonzi Wells, Justin Williams, Gene Peterson, Jim Foley, Bill Worrell, Matt Bullard, Clyde Drexler and so many more. This moment belongs to all of you so much more than the fans. Thank you for letting us have just a little piece of it for each of our own. Look back, if only for one night, and realize what you've accomplished. Be Proud, Rocket Fans, and wherever you are in the world, rise up and give this TEAM a hand. They have earned it.
Rockets will not have a 22 wins game threads anymore. They are a weak team that can win 16 games......................... 16 games in the playoffs Go rockets go.Thanks for inviting me to witnessing the history
A tip of the hat to our beloved Rockets. You have constantly reminded us that teamwork, hustle, and passion are the ingredients to beautiful basketball. Here's to the number 22. Now legendary for two reasons in Rockets lore.
