    Don't need one. It's a prediction.

That's nice and all....C'mon though....Here's a newsflash ...We would have made the playoffs last year if we weren't decimated by injuries.
This coming year, the Texans are not just going to make the playoffs. They are going to do some damage once they get there.

Until you make the playoffs, you ain't made it. Plus, the afc is not going to be easy. Especially if the texans don't win the division, which they probably won't. The jags are going to be tough and then the colts. Tennesse, while I don't see them winning the division, could go 10-6 or 11-5.

If the texans don't win division, then they'll have to contend with Tennessee, Cleveland and Pittsburgh, The Jags or Colts. It is going to be tough. Whether you believe that or not.

Nice prediction, but lemme ask you....what the heck are the Titans doing? Their team just looks worse and worse every day.

    Not that I mind.

I keep asking myself the same question. I think they believe it is 2001 all over again. First the freak and then Justin McCareins.

The thing that really made me question them is: Antwan Odom and Jacob Bell is going to hurt. I can't believe that they let Jacob Bell walk. He cannot really be replaced.

I think they are not trying to blow free agency until they believe that they have a real shot at the superbowl. I guess?????

If Schaub, AJ and McKinney hadn't got injured, they would have made the playoffs last season.

    Home Games:
    Colts
    Jags
    Titans
    Ravens
    Bengals
    Bears
    Lions
    Dolphins

    Away Games:
    Colts
    Jags
    Titans
    Browns
    Steelers
    Packers
    Vikings
    Raiders

I think the Texans will be much improved but looking at our schedule, a lot is going to depend on how some of these teams play next season (obviously).

We know the Colts, Jags, Steelers, and probably the Browns/Vikings will be good. But the Titans offseason has been horrible, the Packers will replacing Favre, both the Ravens and Bears have great defenses that can win games by its own, the Lions could be good, the Bengals should be good, and as bad as the Dolphins are...they gave us the tightest game of the season last year.

here were the scores at the start of the 4Q in all 8 texan losses:
    10-27
    13-23
    9-16
    7-32
    3-35
    10-17
    10-21
    7-38

which two of those games do they win with a healthy team? the 16-9 game was in jacksonville; they eventually lost 37-17. the 17-10 game was in cleveland; they eventually lost 27-17. (and both schaub and johnson were healthy.) jacksonville and cleveland won 21 games last year. i don't think you could classify either as games we let slip away. we lost to better teams.

otherwise, it's hard to argue those 3 (especially schaub, given rosenfels played about as well as schaub) would have made 17, 10, 25, 32, 11, 31-point differences. maybe the scores are closer...

you could make a case for the atlanta game (23-13)... but keep in mind - that was as much on the defense as it was the offense. schaub threw for more than 300 yards; dayne averaged 4.1 YPC, davis and walter caught 11 passes for 194 and a score... they did struggle inside the 20, which is why you could argue AJ would've been a difference maker. then again... harrington was on fire and pretty much doing whatever he wanted that day, so....

they needed at least 2 more wins, probably 3 - and i don't see 2 or 3 wins among those 8 losses; when beaten, they were soundly beaten.

nothing wrong with that; but i don't agree a healthy team would have meant playoffs.
