So I know this thread might be a little stupid/lame, but to tell you the truth I can't remember a time that I have been SO pumped and excited about a game as I am about tonights. Now I know it might sound a bit exaggerated, but come on, to each is his own, and tonight to me can be really special. What really surprises me is the fact that the media could've hyped this one up SO much. #1 vs. #1. Come on how much better can it get. I might be just rambling, but let's get on to talking about the actual basketball in the game. Throughout the streak we really haven't faced much inside post presence, in the fact that we've generally gotten really lucky, but tonight with KG, Perkins, Pollard, and PJ we can really see how our big men stack up. Mostly our PF's though because thats where the size really is and more than the size also the talent, in KG. This goes beyond haters, beyond the specticism, and beyond the non-believers. To me this game is about proving to THEMSELVES, and each other that they can play on the level. People will sneer and say, "as if the Lakers weren't enough" but we all know that there is some sort of undermining even to themselves when arguably their second best player is out. And yes, Ray Allen is out, but with a victory tonight I think it will boost our already off the charts morale, confidence, and trust in each other. P.S. Sorry if you don't agree, but please don't bash me. ENJOY THE SHOW.
I do. It was 1995... It was a stroke of luck that TNT picked this game up. I think NBA fans everywhere are going to be in for a real treat tonight, not just Rockets fans!
Last time I had this feeling was game 7 against utah last year... Lets hope for a different outcome than that!
All streaks must come to an end. I am not too devastated. At least we lost to the leading team in the whole of NBA. We were just not good enough today. I applauded the team for what they have achieved with the players that they have got. I will now be cheering for them to make the playoffs with home court advantage. They can then do some serious damage in the playoffs. Go Rockets!
Wasn't a Rockets fan when Stockton hit that 3 (even though I saw it, which is before I moved to Houston), this loss does feel a shade like the Game 7 of the Dallas series... just a huge letdown after high expectations. I'll be feeling better in the morning... or I certainly hope that'll be the case.
