I guess you guys that consider this guy (or scouts that don't think Houston can win the West) a "hater" also consider Jeff Van Gundy a "hater". Van Gundy says that he doesn't think the Rockets can win more than one series without Yao.

All this guy wrote was that he was wrong for counting them out, that they have been playing well, that McGrady has moved himself into MVP consideration and Adelman into COY consideration. He then agreed with folks who think Houston won't win the West (including folks like Van Gundy) and some of you guys think he is a "hater" and a "moron".

Does that mean that anyone who doesn't think the Rockets will end up as Western Conference Champions are morons?

    I dont know.

are Rockets favored to win 22 games in a row?

    certainly not, but they did.

It is not a good time to make predictions on Rockets. They should at least wait after the streak ends, tonight.

lol. Yeah lots of us has the same opinion. His opinion doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the way he wrote it. Basically he gave no respect to this team, still dissing those classless jokes on TMac and look forward to our loss.

see, the really cool thing about not caring what the national sports media think is that you dont get overly offended when they continue to hope we fail.

The Rockets haven't gotten any national pub for years...all the way back to teh Rudy years, it is telling that most of the more offended fans are newer fans that dont remember the SI snub.

Thats just the facts of life when you love a team no one else loves.

I love it. Keep it up. Like the Rocks in 95...like the 'stros in '05....it's soooo much sweeter when everyone doubts you, but you make it happen anyway. Let them draw up a tombstone somewhere....let them tell us how we really don't have the horses to get it down. Or how great "butt kicking business" is. It's more fun that way when we kick their ass.

The SI snub is starting to rub on me.. and I wasn't even around then. The fact that I freaking pulled out my ESPN magazine from the mailbox this week and we weren't even mentioned on the cover ticked me the heck off.

I am not going to be hypocritical and say I always believed we could win the chip this year... but to completely discount us getting to the final dance is not logical. Do I think we could win a seven game series against the Spurs.. most definitely, do I think we could win a seven game against Boston, not definitely, but there are no absolutes until after the fact.

It's all opinion at this point.

Did JVG say T-Mac would miss time due to a "tweaked hangnail"? If so, he's a hater and a moron.

i'm not sure when we became the whiniest, most insecure, media approval seeking fans in the NBA. its a sad development ...

the revelation is hard to stomach. as a long standing fan i urge yah to find some dignity, pride, integrity, the good stuff.

the national media are not typically Rocket boosters but some of you guys are going around corners, through hoops of fire and intelligence, to find an affront. yah bawl that we get no recognition & bawl about long standing grievances when we get recognition. that kinda dedication to whining is unattractive. this TEAM deserves better.

I use to get really pissed when I read these type of articles. I can now say that I really don't give a fack. They pump me up now!!! No matter what they say now they can never take this season away from us. This has been an amazing season with the Rockets and no matter what happens now...I will be able to cherish everything that has happened and has yet to happen for the rest of my life. Go Rockets!!! Shake them haters off!!!

Thats what I've been saying this whole time, right after Yao went out. The media are just a bunch of hypocrites and bandwagoners. For example (and I've used this before I know): Remember when Tim Legler rated Marcus Camby above Yao Ming before the all-star game? Now he, like the rest of the general media, all of a sudden thinks we're dead without him. Of course we wil miss him in the playoffs, but that doesn't mean we're necessarily dead out of the water without him too. (If this winning streak have meant anything)

And speaking of the Lakers, do people just gloss over the fact that Kobe hasn't advanced past the 1st round ever since Shaq left?

I actually agree with this quote. Even if we ran the table the rest of the regular season, the playoffs are a whole different animal (just ask Dallas). Teams will have plenty of time to scout each other and exploit each other's weaknesses. With no Yao to dictate tempo on offense, get us easy shots, and having to depend on T-Mac being at his best for heavy minutes, I just don't see it.

However, if we hit the jackpot and some how some way every team we face in the playoffs is short a key player due to injury (Dallas minus Dirk, Hornets minus West, Lakers minus Pau, etc), which given the charmed run we've had up to this point wouldn't surprise me all that much, then maybe we can contend.
