Does this mean Landry not coming back or what?
We are looking desperate trying to hitch up with some bigs.

The Pistons alllegedly passed him over a few weeks ago because he wanted guaranteed playing time.

It's just insurance. If Deke goes down Luis at 6-9 would be the tallest active big on the roster.

Hell ya! He'd score 50pts, have 15-20 blocks, maybe a rebound or 20 in 10mins of play!

I'm surprised I haven't heard Olajuwan's name! He could give us 10 min / game. Along with Deke, that's a full center.

Apparently "Not ready" this year, but will be next year according to his agent. Sounds like the guy gained some more.

That's because Olajuwan wouldn't come back.

Adding a little Wood down below isn't a bad thing.

LWood has potential, personally, if we're going after Arizona players I want a shot at RJ (I understand there's no way we can get him, now or ever, but it doesn't stop me).

LWood is better than Williams, I think.

Woods was an enigma coming out of college. He was pumped by the talking heads during school very hard.I thought someone might take a flier on Loren as high as top of the second, but he wasn't even drafted if I remember correctly. From what I've observed there isn't much drive there and he's not athletic at all.The guy has decent fundamentals, but that's it.No lateral movement to speak of,etc....I was wrong about him.I thought once Woods started playing for the Raptors,he would continue to progress a bit...maybe start to live up to that hype from early in his hoops career.
....didn't happen.Yes,he's a body with some size but that's it.All in all his career speaks for itself.I know the pickings are slim and we need some size,but.....

If Dale Davis is in any kind of shape sign him up.

I'd rather have Charles Jones or Earl Cureton.

With two 7' s in the Boston frontcourt tonight they need one of them now. Davis is still my preference. We could be out rebounded very easily tonight.

    Loren Woods? Seriously? C'mon, Morey.

Look, if you're going to randomly throw darts at a dartboard to pick your 15th man, why not just sign a NBADL'er with great rebounding/blocks stats? At least they're playing ball.

For instance, Rod Benson (6'10") is currently the top rebounder in the NBADL with 12.2 per game (and #13 in blocks at 1.36/game). I don't think he's associated with any NBA team.

Or, hey, what about ex-NBA'er Jelani McCoy? He's also 6'10", and he's 6th in blocks (1.96/game) and 9th in rebounds (7.6/game).

Oh, wait, I've got the perfect guy: 7'1" Chris Alexander. He's 3rd in rebounds per game (10.9) and 4th in blocks per game (2.09). Is he associated with any NBA team?

Isn't Diop a free agent at the end of the season. I'd like to see the Rockets make a move for him as a back-up for Yao.
