GREAT point. There is absolutely no difference between 3 and 4.5 games, when you consider the teams we have yet to play. Everybody in the West has a grueling schedule to finish out the regular season. Playoff seeding will be determined in the last 2 weeks of the season in my opinion.

The NBA and the milllions of people in Las Vegas will make sure that won't happen

Won't happen. Phoenix floundered after the Shaq trade but are getting on their fight again. So will the Spurs. It's the biggest conference dogfight in at least two decades - everyone is going to take a pounding for a stretch.

I agree with those saying Denver's not disciplined enough to fight their way into the top 8 - meaning no one drops out.

I would much rather have Denver bump GSW for the 8th spot so we can play them and crush them with our methodical defense.

    I can dream :)

No, when Brent Barry comes back they're gonna win it all because he's the best thing since doodoo and slice bread.

Very unlikely. They are the Spurs and they are healthy. Pop is still their coach. They still have one month to get into their groove.

But something in the Spurs are different in this March. It seems their mojo is not there.

The Rockets are going to go on a historic streak and win the conference. Then they'll be rewarded by having to play the Spurs in the first round.

I've both had a conversation with a former NBA player about Carmelo and met Carmelo in person - he's an *******.
I've got many friends in the Hampton area that knew Iverson before he made the jump - he's a good guy.
K-Mart was a dick to Alonzo Mourning in NJ and mocked him over his kidney condition during practice - he's also an *******.

Other than Philadelphia, the Spurs have lost to Hornets, Pistons, and Celtics in their last 4. It will be interesting though, they only have about 6-7 soft opponents left... But it would mean the Nuggets would have to win 10-11 games to even get a chance to make it and that's hoping somebody like the Spurs collapses...

The way the Nuggets are scoring ball, it's quite possible they get on a roll. They may go undefeated or lose just a couple. Crazier things have happened. They could overtake Golden State or maybe even Phoenix.

Believe it or not, Denver controls their own destiny. They have 2 more games with Phoenix and 2 more games with Golden State. If they win all 4, which is not easy, they will get in.

That's the other weird thing about this season: there aren't any 1st round fodder teams. People are actually worried about playing #8 Golden State. There will be some upsets in the WC 1st round this year.

I work here at the AT&T Center in San Antonio. I'm in the Lions' Den. (Don't worry the Rockets are my team, always will be)

I just had to listen to a Spurs sales rep. talk about how "at least we (the Spurs) aren't peaking too early and gonna make a first-round exit." He went on about how they'll look back months from now and laugh at their play of late.

    He's in complete denial.

The Spurs are scared, their fan base is scared. I went to a luncheon today where they discussed the State of the Spurs. They were talking about cutting Ginobili's minutes back. Ha ha. He's a great player, he'd look so good in Rocket red, but he's good for no more than 30 min/game.

It's unfortunate that I have to sit here and listen to this gab from freakin sales reps. knockin on "The Streak," but it will be all the better when we beat Boston tonight. Wonder what they'll say then, especially since the Spurs blew a 22-point lead to them just last night.

    Nuggets: @Pistons, @76ers, @Nets, @Raptors, @Grizzlies, Mavs, Warriors, @Suns, Suns, Kings, @Sonics, @Clippers, @Warriors, @Jazz, Rockets, Grizzlies

Nuggets are 12-19 on the road.

    Spurs: @Bulls, Kings, @Mavs, @Magic, Clippers, Wolves, Rockets, Warriors, @Jazz, @Blazers, Suns, Sonics, @Lakers, @Kings, Jazz

They split the season 2-2 and are pretty even matched in Conference record. I just don't see the Nuggets making up three on the Spurs. The Spurs will get Brent Barry back soon and make it to the playoffs. Maybe as #8 seed, which will suck when we get the #1 seed.

Every team can miss the Playoffs in the West...thats why we wont have any clinched playoff berths. Why dont you start individual threads about all 9 teams?

Melo may be an ******* I don't doubt that a lot of rich people are, but that don't make him a thug.

I met AI at the mall and he was an *******, but I still wouldn't call him a thug.

K-Mart yes he is a dick at time I know that, but thats not being a thug.

I don't think a lot of people on this board know what a thug is.
