He passed the ball because Alston was hot and he was not. Thats called smart basketball player. You always go with the person with the hot hand and Sunday it was not T-Mac.

TMac was bound to have a bad game especially with how hes logged 48 minutes in 2 games in the past week..

As to the last possession, I think it was the right thing to do especially since he was hwat? 0-9? and rafer was freakin hot at that point. He didnt want to to shoot his way to anotehr loss, instead he decided to let the hot guy take the shot. Good decision for me..it only looked bad because there was no play at all.

With regards to the "not bringing it" in big games, what have you been watching lately? Its just one game and ever since Yao went down, Tmac carried the team on his back. I recall him dropping 30 and 40 consecutively against Dallas and NO..if you consider that "not bringing it," gtfo.

Oh and about that playoffs thing, go look at his playoffs stats before predicting he would suck his way out of the first round again.

I am so tired of national media not giving us enough credit. Not that it matters, but 22 win is 22 win and nobody has reached it in 36 years. This is a special one and will be remembered for long time. This has nothing to do with Tmac or Rocket's success in the playoff. Give credit where credit is due.

It's all about perception. What you consider his weakness, I consider his strength. If you didn't see that pass coming before it happened then you need to start watching more games. You are saying the guy has no "want" because he was shooting an atrocious 0 for 6 and passed up the ball to the guy with the hot hand (yes, I just referred to Rafer as the guy with the 'hot hand'...) because Rafer was also semi-open!!!!

Let me guess T-Mac has no "want" because in the 4th qtr he scored 8 points and had the two passes to Battier in the corner for the 3 and in the next few plays the same pass to BJax at the same spot after collapsing the d on himself...the two plays which blew open the lead! That p*ssy!!!! He should have done what you wanted; taken the tough jumper, missed it, possibly cost us the game and given you a chance to start up threads such as "T-Mac is the reason the streak ended, trade him!"

Dude, start watching more basketball, and when you watch...pay attention and try to remember what you see and make sense of it!

Exactly what national media attention do you think we are not getting? Other than the NCAA bracket circus yesterday, we've been the #1 story on just about any sports website, sportsradio talk shows, and on Sportcenter after the last 3-5 wins?

Wrong parallel. T-mac will past the first-round and achieve far more than that in his career because now he is more mature and playing in a great team with a great coach.

Don't forget kicking out the best center in the game, and then getting losing to a team in the first round after going up 3-1 on them. Rinse and repeat.

He used to get bashed until that WCF run. If McGrady can get the Rockets that far he'll stop being bashed.

In baseball, one player doesn't matter nearly as much as in basketball. You can screw up in baseball and still win if your team is as stacked as the Yankees. In basketball, it's more on the stars, Yao and t-mac. Hope they break through this year....

As with A-Rod, T-Mac gets labeled so until he can get out of the first round, it will always following him. You still have alot of players who never won the "big" one, Chucky, Karl Malone, etc...but they are considered great players. There will always be critics who say "but", heck we are getting that on this winning streak.

rafer was HOT dude. tmac was cold. do you want him to keep jacking it? tmac understands the game. when we were struggling a lil bit to end the 3rd, he stepped up and scored his 11 pts at the end of the 3rd and the 4th.

kobe ruined a lot of momentum they had by keep jacking it -> 11-33. if tmac jacked up 33 shots and did what kobe did, we would have lost.

I wouldn't say the streak means nothing. We still would have the 2nd longest streak ever and chasing 33 regardless of whether the Lakers won the title or not that year, or if we win the title this year.

That being said, everyone would take a title over a long streak.

This is an idiot post in so many ways. Im glad Tmac didnt listen to you because his team would've lost.

Tmac trusted his team, Kobe didn't.

    Tmac's team won
    Kobe's didn't

Tmac is on a winning streak
Kobe is on a losing streak

Kobe wanted it so bad he ignored the hot handed Lamar Odom and cranked up bad shots and got his stuff smacked by Battier.

He took 33 shots and missed the majority of them.

Give me the guy who makes the right play. That's the real difference. One guy wants to win WITH his team and the other guy will try to win for his own ego.

Alex Rodriguez has been to the LCS several times, with Seattle and New York. Is Dan Patrick senile?

They have to find some way to belittle the streak.

not to mention even getting to the post season in baseball is HUGE.

the NBA sends half the league! baseball, less than a third.

Correct TMac has a great offensive output in the playoffs. I believe this will be the year he finally gets the Gorilla off his back.

I cant stand Dan Patrick . I really don't put too much stock in what he has to say . It is an interesting comparison though .

People can't just enjoy the streak as an individual accomplishment.

There always have to be another motive involved........"but T-Mac can't get out of the first round", "but the other teams were without their star" (conveniently forgetting the fact that we've been without Yao for the past ten games) "They are not championship contenders" (Who gives a phuk? We are talking about the streak!)

The streak is amazing......and should be considered as such, forget about what the Rockets are going to do in the playoffs.
