Sometimes life gets in the way and I am delayed in posting threads, so to get ahold of the releases when they first come out check here >> http://www.rocketredrockers.net:6969/index.html Rockets Run 2008 - my20 Lakers/Rox Pregame show Rox vs Lakers clip vid Rox vs Lakers segments on KRIV Sports Sunday and ESPN Fastbreak and Sportscenter Rox vs Lakers full game NOTE: Everything except the full game vid *should* have seeds, these have been on the tracker since last night....anyone that has already downloaded those, please make sure your seeds are open so I can devote my seed to the game video. REMINDERS: 1) As most of you know, the videos are encoded with the xvid codec and are being made available using the bittorrent p2p protocol, so if you arent sure what that means, check this FAQ written by droxford or google for help and then post here if you still have trouble after that. Dont forget the need to seed...seeding is so important to bittorrent working right. 2) if you download via a yousendit link....you really need to re-upload to yousendit and post the link here...it is most uncool to leech that and not return the favor...those links are only good for 25 downloads apiece. 3) if you are trying to play it on Windows Media Player, Quicktime, or RealPlayer and it still wont play after you install the xvid codec ..I would recommend using: Media Player Classic BS player(scroll down to get free BS Player) VLC Player 4) the Need To Feed the Tipjar (See my sig) is a ever-present need...if this server doesnt receive support, you never know when one day it might go away...and then where would you be? Clutch cant do everything for us...lets give the man a hand. Go Rockets
you assume correctly as a rule of thumb, when there is a choice between national or local, I always record local because I'm a homer. (and cause alot of people get to see the national ones, but never get to hear the joy from our guys when we win big)
Thanks man. Just would like to express my opinion, not that it matters -- but I'd prefer the national broadcast. Higher quality picture, better sound. Anyways, are there any plans to start releasing the full game vids in 720p? Thanks dude
Yeah, and rightfully so. It's great, because I always end up watching the 'national coverage' the first time around, and I always like to go back and watch the local coverage of these great/historical games to make sure I didn't miss out on the blatant homerism of our local guys. Thanks as always, man, you and Mother Teresa are two of a kind in my book...you can do no wrong
there is a limit to how good a 1.5 to 2 hour video can look when it has been shrunk to 448x336 and compressed to fit a CD. Trust me when I say, the ABC SD picture is no better than the one I record off of FSN or my20 once it has been compressed heavily and the audio is gonna sound crappy anyway cause I sacrifice audio quality for more bits for the video. and no, I currently have no plans of doing the HD versions.(not till I can count on it for every game and without significant dropouts/pauses) Like I said, once it has been that compressed, you wont see the difference between SD and HD in the finished video.
You're the man, R2K. I don't need it (DVR!), but I'll pass this on. Some of these games are pure gold. I've already watched the Hornets game at least 4 times. The Fakers game twice. Can't get enough of this team!!
Thanks for posting this so soon R2K. ABC's broadcast might be nice and all with JVG, but Clyde Drexler provides unparalleled hilarity.
Thanks And that's why I love Worrell. He went real CRAZY BWT: When you are watching highlights: look, the highlights of the 2nd half begin at 5:40. Damn We hadn't scored for about 7 minutes...
after watching the kobe highlights from the pre-game show, i've noticed that the buzzer-beater 3-pointer that kobe made to take that one game to overtime was from just out of bounds. go figure. it's at 29:25 in the video for anyone interested.
Is it just me? Been downloading the Lakers full game for 9+ hours and the average DL speed is 2.3kb/s
