This season? The Rockets front office has operated like this for DECADES......they have always put out shorter misleading expected returns from injuries to the media (these days via that tool Mouthpiece Feigen) than what they really anticipate. When Mike Harris got signed I guess we should have all known it wasn't gonna be just a couple games missed for Landry.
I say the FO just flat out cuts Franchise. Keep Harris & Landry on the roster... they will be unstoppable when they are on the court together. . Hopefully Landry's injury isn't worse then the front office is saying it is.
They can cut Justin Williams and not worry about it....actually they don't have to cut anyone at this point. DD
We already cut Green. That's how we signed Harris in the first place. We can just sign him for the rest of the season. Why do we have to cut anybody else?
I really want to see Landry out there for tomorows game, i think we would be at great advantage with Pau out and all...but if Mike Harris can step up again tomorow i think we will be ok regardless
Feigen lists him as doubtful at best. (He did work out today. But the question is not how the workout goes, but whether he swells up overnight after testing it. He is doubtful at best for tomorrow. If he is past the soreness and swelling, they might run him again on Monday and decide about Tuesday. -- Jonathan) http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2008/03/blackjack_rockets_earn_21win_s.html
Adelman in the interview pretty much ruled him out.... Unless they are throwing a smoke screen up to trick the Lakers. DD
The Rockets want to have a certain level of certainty that the swelling won't resume after Landry plays. We keep hearing that there's "good news" and the trainers are "hopeful" and that he's "improving everyday." I don't know ... maybe this is something that he'll have to deal with the rest of the way. The Rockets have had a tendency of down-playing injuries all season, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's what is happening here.
... it might be the most important game and i think we definitely need his energy and scoring off the bench.
