Hoop-T, I'm sure all it is is that NBA.com knew that if the Rockets (with Francis, Mobley, Cato, Anderson and Thomas) were an option, EVERYONE would vote for them. But they wanted to know what sub-.500 team came in second for potential behind the Rockets. You can't find that out when everyone's voting Rockets.

Nice try, Juan [IMG]... I know it's probably juvenile to care, but I find it irksome anyway.

Well, I hate to beat a dead horse, but NBA.com has a new TV poll. They ask:

What sub-500 team has the best core of talent for the future?
    Bulls: Ron Artest, Elton Brand
Clippers: Derek Anderson, Lamar Odom, Maurice Taylor
Grizzlies: Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Mike Bibby, Michael Dickerson
Magic: Darrell Armstrong, Corey Maggette, Ron Mercer
Nets: Kerry Kittles, Stephon Marbury, Keith Van Horn
Warriors: Vonteego Cummings, Larry Hughes, Antawn Jamison

AAAAAAGH, why are the Rockets not in this poll. Maybe they think we are not a sub-.500 team despite what the record says???

this is about the 4th time this has been posted....my question is, why does anyone care? how does the lack of the inclusion of the rockets in this meaningless poll affect anyone's life?

NBA.com has this article at the top of their home page, giving Houston a little respect.

    On Guard
Guards Steve Francis and Eddie Jones are the keys to tonight's Rockets-Hornets game (8 p.m. ET, TNT), says analyst Mike D'Antoni.

Thats not respect. They show that because rockets vs hornets are on tnt. They always do that when a team plays on Tnt. [IMG]

This is what they actually say.

"The Rockets haven't had a chance to go on a long run yet, and if they don't make a move shortly, they will certainly find themselves out of the playoffs."
