so what are the best valentines day things you guys ever did? or would be cool to do...but keep in mind..its gotta be in houston. and plausible.
picnic by the water wall... mine didn't actually happen on v-day since i had a lot of homework, but it was still very special. it was sweet, romantic, cute...just all out wonderful!
Break up the day before!!!! That way you don't have to do dinner or gifts. Then make up the day after cause you know make-up sex is always awesome!!!!! Too bad my wife won't go for that. I'd end up with half a couch, half a TV, half a computer for a day. So I gotta go through the motions.
Oh, I love RM95's Girl...we've decided that we're not having Valentine's Day this year, or maybe ever...it's too much of a pain in the ass.
One of my ex-bands played a gig on Valentine's day once . . . . Actually, does anyone have suggestions for what I should get my female co-workers? They all surprised me with gifts on Xmas and I thought Valentine's day would be a good time for me to return the generosity. Please understand that I do NOT want to send the wrong message as all of them are married or engaged.
subtomic, take them all to lunch. It'd be a nice gesture and since you'll be surrounded by them all at the same time, there will be no question about your intentions.
Good idea except that we are required to take lunch in shifts (1/2 the office from 11:30-12:30 and the other 1/2 from 12:30-1:30). Because I am low on the totem pole here, I can't request an exception to this rule.
C-A-N-D-Y! I don't know a woman that can't resist high-quality chocolate. Either get a big ol' box of Godiva that they can share, or a small box for each of them. Sure, they may say they're on a diet, but they'll eat it anyway.
The army is taking my Lynus away before Valentine's Day... but it's okay. We'll make up for it later! Luv ya, baby!
If you got a few bucks to spend try this: http://www.urbanretreat.com I'm trying it this year and am anxious to see the response I get from her. os
That's a good one. Girls really aren't THAT hard to please. I just got 2 dozen pink roses from my someone! Pink's my favorite color (and red roses are good, but overdone sometimes and not original). It's the little things that matter.
I will make a home made valentine card for my girl- she has a good sense of humor, so cut outs from magazines to use for a message are effective- pictures and words. Restaurants are always very crowded, so I will cook something- she likes steak, so I will grill. Red wine with beef, so Clos Du Bois cabernet-$14.99 or so at Albertsons, $12.99 at Specs. Jewelry is good- not necessarily expensive. Example- white gold ear rings-hoops- $ 59.99. I will do that or get her a sports watch. I am looking forward to Valentines day. Surprise helps - the best thing is to remember and she will be pleased. On a bigger budget- go to Galveston, get a room over looking the atrium at the Tremont House. Have dinner at Saltwater grill across from the Opera house on Post office Street. Sit at the bar and watch the cook prepare gumbo or bullabaise from scratch.... End the evening with a carriage ride.....
