Going to Austin this weekend and wanting to know if anyone has visited the Barton Greenbelt lately, particularly the Twin Falls area? I want to know if the water levels are suffice for swimming. I ask the question because if the levels are too low for recreation I will leave my dogs behind at the house. Their hopes hinge on your positive answer
Yeah I know it's SXSW. I got some wristbands waiting for me there. Decided to bring the dogs regardless
Bone dry. No water in Austin. Many scenester tourists and wannabe record execs pacing around town forcing me to stand in line for tacos. God this town blows durins SXSW. Stay where you are.
there was a little water in the creek the other day from the rain we got monday but its pretty dry. Bring your dogs and take them to redbud island or somewhere like that if you don't want to go to the creek
You couldn't PAY me enough to go downtown this weekend. I'll stay my ass out in the suburbs until everything's all gone.
You're probably right, but given the fact that I have mobility issues, should I want to go anywhere downtown, I'd need close parking and a short walk without bumping into hundreds of people. It's rare enough during any other day of the year, it simply doesn't happen during SXSW. Therefore, I'll entertain myself in the suburbs by drinking and grilling with my friends and spending WAY less money having just as much fun, if not more.
i second the redbud park suggestion if you're bringing the dogs. perfect place. if it's just you swimming, then go head on over to deep eddy or barton springs pool. and yes, it'll be a big giant scenester cluster*****. enjoy!
I would be down...where at? I can't do it on my back porch because it is daylight, and my outdoor theater needs dark...but I would be willing to meet up and bring that rowdy spirit to 3rd base etc. DD
