I am tired of going to doctors who don't really help me but after a bit of a break, I think I need to start seeing one again.

Any help, with emphasis on knees, would be much appreciated.

What part of town are you interested in? I liked the guy who operated on my knee last summer. He is on the southwest side. I also know of a very good general ortho guy in the med center area. PM me for names.

Dr. Walter Lowe...do it do it.

He was the Rockets team doctor when I had my ACL repaired. Haven't seen him on tv in a while, but that may be b/c I only get to see like 4 Rox games a year living in Austin. He did a great job with me. Plus, I think sports orthopedists know the best rehab centers as well as do things that other docs don't do to get you to have a speedier recovery.

Dr. Wayne Alani is my sister's. He's done a heck of a job with her knees (spontaneous dislocation that lead to a shattered patella and a blown ACL).

Robert Burke (in Pearland) at Fondren Orthopedic Group did a great job on my torn rotator cuff. Knees are his specialty.

He is pretty good. I let him cut my knee.

It sucks though because he has so many patients it took two months to see him and then I waited 3-4 hours in the office.

    Dr. Leland Winston
    Dr. Lowe (as mentioned)

I'd throw in Dr. Tom Clanton, but he's foot specific.
