I just don't understand governments sometimes. I do community service in the southside of Syracuse, notorious for gangs and violence. The city of Syracuse is actually quite interesting. You have the university, which is very nice and safe, but then once you leave campus, there are mostly drugs, prostitution, violence, gangs, and poverty. Everyone knows to stay away from the South, West, East, and North sides, because each has their own respective gang, yet the cops don't do anything about it. It seems most of the cops are busy finding underage drinkers at bars.
