    Am I crazy? ...

It's my wife's G4 powerPC laptop (1.5 GHz), and she needs to be running Leopard. RAM upgraded to 2GB... but I smell an impending disaster.

IT people at work just say vague things like "well (munch, much) it will kind of work... but (gulp, munch... burp) it will be, like (gulp) slow and stuff. You should really only do Leopard on one of the Intel Macs. (returns to vending machine)"

Anybody here with words of advice? Jokes welcome too, as long as I can tell they are jokes.

Also, what's next for Mac OS... Ocelot?

I don't know why Leopard would be slower on a G4 than Tiger. 867 mhz/512 RAM is the minimum requirements.

Folks, thx. And Rokkit, that article helps a lot.

Looks like speed will be fine, but we'll have some surprises on a few
applications. Some of hers are specialized for her work.
