that was his game in college.....he's actually probably more comfortable shooting off the dribble on his own than he is on the catch 'n shoot....

I thought you were gonna say Novak learned to play defense

    .....or something other than shooting.....

I've dogged Novak quite a bit since he's been with the team, but he's played well his last couple outings. It looks like SF is the best spot for him, especially when the other team doesn't have an offensive weapon at that position. I can see him playing like a poor man's Peja Stojakavic in our system for limited stretches. Great adjustment there by Adelman.

Hey, he's not stopper Hayes is, but I saw the play that Bull highlighted on the DEF switch between Novak/Harris. Harris isn't exactly "new" to the team, but he's been gone awhile & to get that level of communication/help in your 1st/2nd game back, I was impressed!

It's *THOSE* little things that are helping us win.

Possibly with experience he might turn out to be better than Stojakavic :p

I believe Adelman will groom him into Peja.

If he can play defense at the same level as Jon or Brett Barry, we'd have a winner!

Actually, I don't think his defense is any better...the team's overall defense has stepped up and helped hide some of Novak's defensive deficiencies.

one of the shooters who has the purest form for sure. quick release, too.

the other aspects of his game are slowly getting better from what i can tell. i think he'll be alright for his nba career. the dude has the height, too.

I was just teasing the original poster. I love Steve, but i think Durvasa is right, he is better off playing the 3 position rather than the 4.

Though during the Nets game when he was at 4 and Chuck was at 5 we went on a nice little streak.

He is doing much better on help defense this year. He looks much more comfortable on the court this year than he did last year. I would say that's because he had time down in the D-league to get his feet under him and he's had another year to develop and get stronger.

Rick Adelman actually has Novak spend 3 hours a day practicing pump fakes.
