Ok, got the day it came out, and have been playing it quite a bit.

But I can't shake the nagging feeling that I am missing something here.

(maybe I will have to break down and read all the 'instructions', but from what I did read, there ain't much there)

Has anyone had any big success playing this game? I don't know if I am doing well or not; I have the wind and rain miracles, and can do the defend, attack, and run-away commands. I also have the tree, the mountain baby thing, and some kind of a chef guy who asks for something I have apparently not yet had in my possession.

Also, I can't figure out how (or even if I CAN) upgrade units themselves, other than waiting for one of them to die and regorw it from scratch.

Any good guides anyone has seen yet? I am enjoying it, it's definitely addictive, and great for only $20, but I would hate to be missing something obvious here....

Definitely a great game for $20. I'll pick it up with FF:CC when it's released later this month.

I've played the first few 'missions' so far. All I do is the commands to move forward or to attack. I'm not really looking forward to playing it again. Am I missing something? I know it's got good reviews, the fun factor/originality factor, musically oriented, etc. But it just feels repetitive right now with almost no though process except for hitting buttons in rhythm. Does it get better later? I'm trying to find what everyone likes about this, and I think it's flying over my head.
