He sure doesn't take alot of shoots right now. Hmm, more shoots? If we start forcing him to take more shoots, his shoots percentage might go down. Right now he's shoots an amazing shoots percentage, especially for a rookie. His shoots are also very difficult, so I am impressed with his shoots on what shoots he does in fact shoots. I think Scola should keep his shoots like his shoots are now. If his shoots are not broken, why attempt to fix his shoots?
I say give em more shots, cus we cant go on stretches w/0 scoring against the upcoming tough games. His shots are difficult, but what about running plays that will give him an open 15 footer. Also he does sometimes manage not to shoot that open shot, for whatever reason.
You're right. It should of happened sooner but at least they finally passed the ball to him. he was open in the post all damn game. But that's the way the offense flows sometimes, I guess. I'm not complaining. I agree though, we need to start establishing Scola in the low post more often.
just because the team is winning lots of games right now it doesn't mean they can't tweak things and improve anymore. if the rockets think your way they're destined to failure in the future.
Scola has some crazy low post moves. He also knows how to dribble the ball in traffic (albeit crazy looking). He does seem to find easy layups from them. Yes.. have more plays for him at least until defenses have to gameplan
He's not a prolific scorer but he's crafty. I think their starting to go to him more on isolations and post ups but he won't be a primary option nor should he be. Its only needed when teams rotate well on defense to stop us form getting easy buckets with our good ball movement.
Especially in the hornets game, RYAN BOWEN was the one guarding him. He could have post up and scored 30 pts on flying ryan!!!!
Yes, a bit more shoots could be good for Scola. I did hear that having too much can be "poisonous" though, according to Chinese doctors, especially if you have any skin condition... And, pandas remind me of Yao. I miss the big fella!
His average of 11 shots a game are good enough. He usually average 16-20 points off those 11 shots (with FTs counted in too of course). the Scolandry dragon is deadly efficient.
Even with Landry out, he doesnt get that many shots. Its time to for him to be more aggresive. It will be hard since his teammates dont pass him the ball in the post much however. Adleman uses him just as a garbage guy. I hope he gets integrated more into the offense. Its about time.
Yeah, I think he could have 10-15 per game Next year, he will be a all-star candidate with 18p-10r per game
I thought the exact opposite. Scola was doing pretty well during our run, until he got stonewalled by the Bowen. He got straight up RyBo'ed. Bowen isn't in the league for his offense. He did an awesome job on Dirk, in the playoffs when it mattered. Wouldn't be surprised if Scola underestimated him.
