The craving for Media Love must end. Folks, just because the talking heads talk up or talk down a team MEANS NOTHING. So much has to do with major media markets, and Houston is not one. If the Knicks had a winning streak going it would mean the end of things as we know it. They would be "surging" ahead to a championship, may never lose, a testimony to their incredible talent, etc. etc.

Even during the championship years, the Rockets were rarely given credit. The Knicks screwed up, Robinson had an off night, Jordan wasn't playing. It is just the way it is. Here is the point, why can't we all see how much fun it is to make them look stupid. The more they discredit the streak and the team, the more motivation to continue it. The more Kenny et al says we are not a contender the more fun to see the team become one. The more they say we can't win a playoff series the more fun to win one.

    Rockets against the World!

Its not that I am hoping and praying the media notice us like a pubecent boy at a high school dance, I just enjoy watching each one slowly change their mind after we make them look stupid night after night. oh so pretty.

The more the media does not mention the Rockets in their mouth, less of the burden TMac has to carry of all the pressure from the media.

Just make them look stupid in the end. And It's also better for the Rockets so they have less pressure on them.

why do people care what the media think? personally, i like to lay low and catch everyone by surprise rather than be the target of attention (ie new england patriots!!!)

You put that perfectly. Thank you. This should be stickied on top cause it should be our motto the whole way through the championship. F U Media!

Solid post! I agree. Screw what they think, it's so much sweeter to prove 'em wrong.

Great post and thread, Rockets were not so popular in the champ days, so they will not be now. Screw them, haters are there always.

    I agree solid.

Let the doubters doubt. It's better this way. PLus, I think it makes the Rockets more motivated.

Actually this is good for the Rockets and our city. Keeps the fire burning and doesn't let us get complacent. I want them all to keep hating on us so we can shut them up with our play.

I like that we don't get media attention, when we end up winning I can talk mad **** to the idiots but when we lost... I lay low lol.

But seriously, I don't care what the media has to say b/c how often are they correct? I care more about how coaches feel playing against our teams then what Sir Charles has to say.

    We love Rockets,that's enough.

Just curious,if Barkley saw the slogan " Barkley quit hatin'", Did he feel shame for himself?

or,the medias predicted we lose again and again, that's just PURE HATE, not sports reports. As professional medias, do they have sense of shame?

    Nice thread!

If everyone think you can do it which will make the eventual success indifferent and commonness.

If everyone don't think you can do it which will make the eventual success more sense of accomplishment and more exciting!

Shouldn't u all know that media is not very smart.....most of the talking heads are nothing more than hot air......it is very hard to understand how these people get paid so much for knowing so little about the sports they cover you would think they would understand somethings, but they don't.

But when big upsets happen they are completely shock and fail to realize things like match ups, turnovers, missed opportunities, overcoaching, game management, and etc are just as big and important about which stars are on your team or how great the team record is.

Some teams just play harder than others and are more committed to and driven to win than others......not necessarily the talent on your team or how good the team is on paper.
