Rockets 1 game back and control their destiny

any team can still lose 2 or 3 games in a stretch and fall from best in the west to not even having home court.

 

Home advantage is damn important

 

Let's hope the Nuggets can somehow pull out a victory against the Spurs tomorrow

We're actaully 2 games back of first place...Lakers are #1 Spurs are #2 and Rockets are #3

I think he might mean the division. But yeah, I don't see us losing any of the next 3 then we have two games vs. 1 and 2 in the Lakers and Spurs. Should be an 5 game stretch.

 

If the Spurs lose a couple more games this week(they play in New Orleans and Detroit) and the Lakers lose at least one game(they also play in New Orleans), the Rockets would be playing for sole possession of first place in the entire conference next Sunday provided they sweep their next 3 games.

The hell with the streak! We could be in first place in a little over a week.

We're now one game back from the Spurs for first in the Southwest and 2 back from the Lakers for first in the West

 

Man remember after the loss that put us 15-17 everyone on the board was pissed, myself included.

Few months later, I can't be more happy, Rockets are one of the best, whatever you like it or not. From that worse point and that horrible start, I can't even imagine myself writing this post.

how do you control your own destiny? You still need the spurs to lose a a game before you can be tied with them.

 

we're going to get EVERYONE'S best game man, not just the hornets. they all want to break this streak. look for the nets to come out firing.

but we'll really know how good this team is after that 5-game stretch. imagine if we beat the lakers, oh my god.

We have one more game left with the Spurs and currently lead the season series 2-1. So we control our own destiny with them. We don't with the Lakers however since we trail them by 2 games in the loss column and only have one more remaining against them.

 

However, if the Rockets win, they take the season series against LA. That's huge in case they tie.

 

We have a tough stretch coming up with those 5 games against contenders. We may lose one but I cannot see this team dropping 2 straight games. Even if they lose to the fakers they will come out and steamroll the celts next night out. And even if they lose the one after that they will come back and blowout the next opponent. This team is Rocky Balboa on coke. You **** with this team you ****ing with the best.
