This is old news. The quotes from Tmac are from a couple of weeks ago. There have been at least 2 other threads discussing what he said.
yeah, this is great for we can trade him for some good staff this summer. so keep the crazy show tmac, your only value to this team is for trade.
He was doing it before Yao went out and he is getting better. Last night I saw Rafer wave him off and Tmac quickly ran to the other side to clear space. Of course Rafer missed a jump shot but the point is I don't remember Tmac getting waved off before. Tmac has completely bought in to Adelmans system because it is working and he is getting better at it every game.
It's a little known fact that KG has 6 toes on each foot. So, while most players only have 20 fingers and toes, KG has 22. 20/22 = 1.1 = 110%
I've advocated trading Tracy due to the back issues for.75 on the dollar in the past. He's playing out of his mind though and I'd imagine it has much to do with the new warm up and coach Rick's system. An open lane will due wonders as he gets to play HIS game now.I like him in the high post with his skills. And...seeing him drive to the hoop finally gives me much room for hope. How much is Tracy worth on the open market via trade NOW?eh?He's worth the max contract. That's for damn sure. Let me be clear.....I don't want him dealt...just curious what you all think. It's a sell high mentality. If he didn't have the back issues I wouldn't even bring it up. Ironically enough if I was forced to deal either one it would be Yao.(the foot thing with the bigguns) For the record I don't want either of these guys going anywhere, just talkin here.
take a look back and see how long it has been since he was out for anything related to his back. its been since the Waco guy worked on him. evidently his treatments work. the stuff early this season was a knee issue, and once he got fully healed he has been playing great. btw... I would not be surprised if he really did cuss in a pep speech(from the DA article), dont be fooled by the calm exterior, Im normally pretty chill about things but get me in a competition and you will see a totally different guy.... you know the old saying......Dont judge a book....
Yeah 2K,now that you mention it........Your right on both counts. That guy HAS worked wonders...Anyway,it's fantastic to see him being the best he can be.Tracy has frankly become a better player who plays within himself much more often while making his teammates better....the mark of a winner with MAD talent.TMac may not have all the physical skills he used to have, but he's movin a lot better out there while getting better elevation.I don't think it's a coincidence at all that his shot has improved too.
What I see this year that I have never seen out of him is now he knows when to switch from the guy tryin to setup his teammates to the guy that takes over the game when others are having trouble scoring. Ive seen it time and time again during the latter half of the season. Sometimes he starts out tryin to get his shot to fall, sometimes he starts out getting others involved. Either way, when the team needs a score, he steps up and gets one. It would be a real shame if the team was as knee-jerk as some of its fans....we would have never gotten to see this level of teamplay from him in a Rockets uniform.
yea by 110% you mean yelling and screaming after every basket? Everybody plays differently, leads differently and shows their emotion differently.
You know,I've noticed that too. Early on we might get a heat check out of him (sometimes a few turnovers as he adjusts) and then he starts feeding everyone.....and when we need him to take over or close games,he does. If the season had started a couple of months ago,I have no doubt he would be the leader for MVP by a wide margin. I think he is starting to deserve some serious attention as it is.As long as we keep on kicking butt and end up in the top 2 or 3 spots in the West (I think we'll be 1 or 2 while winning the division as long as Landry comes back)Tracy's going to make it tough on all the LB and Kobe voters.
uhhh I used past tense for KG. Anyways in his ten years at Minnesota, that was the year and only one that he got out of the first round. Prior to that year he lost 7th consecutive times in the first round!
If you are a pure Rockets fan and only based on facts and numbers, you would have to say that trading Yao would make more sense. For me. I say trade neither! If both of them are healthy next year and with this supporting cast, there is no reason why we can't dominate this league.
I've supported Mac since he got here and ever since I joined this site. The garbage about trading him earlier this year was past infuriating, it was just ridiculous. You just don't trade someone of his caliber unless you get equal value, and that is nearly impossible to do. It was obvious from that preseason game vs. Sonics where he put in 30 plus points that he was going to be even better than he was last year (eg., we would see more of his athletecism). That was borne out in the first game of the year when he dropped that lefty slam over Kobe, etc. But the Rockets started playing poorly, his elbow got screwed up, then the knee, and then all the silly "Trade TMac" threads got going. I'm glad to see he is getting more love on this site, and that alot of members are willing to admit they were wrong. But I also know we're a small losing streak away from a bunch of people bashing him, which is a shame. I find it really hard to fathom how much animosity TMac generates, and to a lesser extent, Yao.
Hell I'm always hard on Tracy simply because I know when he's right(Mentally/physically)he's as good or better than anybody in the game, the guy is the perfect player when he's "Right". The dude is straight up ballin and deserves A LOT of respect and credit for the way we're playing.
"They should call Tracy, 'half-man, half a season,'" I don't think anyone doubts he's an amazing talent, though how will he play when things get tough.....will his injuries flare up again?....... will he take this team past the first round?... We've seen Tracy get hot before, though once this guy goes cold, he really pulls the team down with him… have we as a team improved beyond relying on T-Mac being hot to win?...without Yao I don’t think so…..just my opinion.
dude, the entire media called for his head and thought the team was better than him when he was injured. if that's not things gone bad, i don't know what is. the way he changes his game, the way he is more interactive with his teammates now---> completely changed. that was probably the lowest point in his career where for the first time people said his team was better WITHOUT him. if he can pull himself together after that barrage of criticism, trust me, he won't fold again.
To be honest I havn't seen any games lately (from the winning streak I've probably seen one when Yao was playing) so I don't know.....I'm just going on what I HAVE seen from his past. I hope you are right....
ill admit frustration when I saw t-macs demeanor earlier this season, and calling for him to be traded. He's stepping up now just like he did last year when Yao went down and playing unbelievable. His durability is the only question mark (much like Yao), which will always bring him in to trade talks. People only realize this when hes injured, but right now every thing is going great and hope it continues.
